Great saw, with a little work, should perform excellent
The saw cuts agreesively, has great balance and weight to it. The handle is not the most comfortable but given the thickness, one can shape it, along the lines of Paul Sellers and Rex Kruger. Very happy with the purchase and at this price point, am tempted to buy another one

My 30-year old Spear & Jackson finally needs replacing and I was skeptical about the current version being as good, but I need not have worried. This is an absolutely excellent saw, very sharp even teeth, well balanced and perfectly weighted. I already used it to create some complicated Chinese interlocking joinery and the results were excellent. Please note, DO NOT press down when using this saw, the saw's own weight is designed to achieve the ideal cutting speed, you just need to move it back and forth!

This saw works well for me. It arrived in good shape. Handle fastened tightly. No wobble or rattle. Saw teeth set was good. Saw will cut ok out of the package but needs fine sharppening to make it perfect. Has crosscut teeth. I intend to buy a couple more and file the teeth to a dedicated rip cut. Saw teeth take a file well which is great for people who like to sharpen up and get those really nice cuts.
