The diverter was a perfect fit, and worked correctly. Matching it to the valve and finding it was a huge pain. Of course, there were no model or brand markings on the valve cover or anywhere. This would had made it easier to find this replacement. As far as the installation, luckily I have a 17mm, deep socket that made it easy to take the old diverter off the valve. Sucks to know that plastic was used to connect two pieces that get pulled with some considerable force.

Was hoping to acquire only the small part needed to fix the problem, but replacing the whole valve was easy.

Just what I needed to fix my shower / bath controls. A word of advice for others replacing this part. Before you put the new cartridge in, make sure no gaskets or o-rings got stuck in the mixing valve. I had to take mine back apart because it was still leaking. The culprit was that the rubber ring on the end of the old diverter had come off and was wedged in there. Once I got that out it was great, but I could have saved myself some time if I had checked for it the first time.

After spending several hundred dollars to have a plumber install - my Restoration Hardware ( Brasstech ) faucets still leaked. I tried to return the faulty parts - however it was past 30 days, and could not be refunded. I wound up replacing both faucets instead of investing more money in repair/replacement parts.
