Lightweight, comfortable, secure, and great for lots of walking
I really like this ankle brace. I twisted my ankle the week before my honeymoon, and I was worried about how it would hold up while walking around Italy, especially on all of the uneven cobblestone streets. I wore this brace for an entire week during my trip, and it gave me the support I needed without feeling heavy or bulky. The lightweight design was a big advantage for me because it didn’t put the extra strain on my foot that I’ve experienced with heavier ankle boots and braces. I was able to wear it for long periods of walking without feeling weighed down. The only downside is that it does take a little while to put on and get properly adjusted because of the lacing and straps. I found that wearing a thin sock underneath helped prevent chafing and made it more comfortable for extended wear. After a full week of sightseeing and walking on cobblestones, I’m very happy with it. It gave me the support and confidence I was looking for without the bulk and weight of a traditional ankle boot. I would definitely buy it again.

5 stars
I’m thrilled with this ankle brace from Z ATHLETICS. It has quickly become an essential part of my sports wardrobe, whether I’m playing basketball, volleyball, or going for a run. Adjustable Lace-Up Support. The lace-up design lets me tailor the compression to my ankle, ensuring a snug, secure fit without feeling restricted. It stays in place through quick cuts, jumps, and sprints. Versatile for Women & Men. The sizing and stretchy material accommodate different ankle shapes and sizes, so it’s comfortable for both genders. Side Stabilizers. The integrated side stabilizers provide practical medial-lateral support, giving me extra confidence during lateral movements and hard landings. Ankle Protection:** It offers noticeable support for sprains or weak ankles, reducing the fear of re-injury during activity. Performance & Recovery Relief from Tendonitis Strain:** I’ve noticed reduced Achilles tendon strain after long runs and gym sessions, making recovery days much more tolerable. Bounce-Back Confidence:** With the added stability, I can push harder in basketball and volleyball without worrying about overextending my ankle. Comfort & Materials Breathable & Lightweight:** It doesn’t overheat during sweaty workouts, and the material dries quickly after washing. Low-Profile Fit:** The brace fits neatly inside sneakers without causing bulk, so I don’t feel like I’m wearing extra gear. Durability & Care Build Quality:** Sturdy stitching and reliable lacing hold up to regular use and frequent washing. Easy to Clean:** Quick hand wash or machine wash (if allowed by the care label) keeps it looking fresh. This ankle brace strikes an excellent balance between support and comfort. The lace-up system combined with side stabilizers gives reliable protection without compromising mobility. It’s a fantastic choice for athletes dealing with sprains, tendonitis, or general ankle instability, and it’s suitable for basketball, volleyball, running, or recovery routines. If you’re shopping for a dependable, adjustable ankle brace that can keep pace with your training and help you bounce back faster, this Z ATHLETICS model is a five-star pick in my book.

Foot wrap part made walking painful
I fractured my fibula and this brace is providing good stability while I transition from my CAM boot back to regular shoes. The stiffness of the lace-up part makes me feel less worried about rolling my ankle and re-injuring it. The wrap around parts weren’t for me though - I cut them off with scissors. They provided excellent support and probably would’ve been amazing if I weren’t trying to walk on it so much. But when I walked, the bulk of the wraps that go under my foot made it quite painful. Still, I’m glad I have it!

Amazing Support
I am 62 and sprang my ankle last year. This brace is amazing! It has helped with my ankle pain and support so I am able to do my job inspecting heavy equipment. I highly recommend these to anyone who needs added support. It also allows my foot to fit in my work boot.

Thank you love mine easy and comfortable
I was worried after looking at the reviews about how this was going to go... I'm not super comfortable trying to figure things out from pictures online and everything said no instructions hard to put on no laces etc... When it came it did look a little overwhelming at first glance but it DID come with shoelaces a lot of people said it didn't but mine definitely DID and it DID come with instructions as well, I don't know if this is a new thing or what but I had instructions they were very easy to follow very simple and straightforward and to the point. I proceeded to try to put my brace on put my foot, I laced it up I did have to unlace it and redo it but that was my fault finally got it laced properly tightened it used the velcro straps to secure the sides very simple with the two side panels that give my ankle tons of support and then the piece at the top it was beyond simple I'm not sure where the problem was with some of these reviews that say it's really hard to figure out it really isn't it's very straightforward and simple I will say all the pictures show you wearing it without a sock I'm not sure why because typically when you're going to wear a brace like this you're going to have a sock on if you are I would get more like a dress sock because you want this to fit snug and you don't want to leave little lines all over your leg or cause any circulation issues the first time I did it I wore it with a thicker type sock that's kind of like a crew sock that has lines at the top I won't do that again LOL I also have edema and stuff so it leaves deeper marks than it might for somebody without those issues I wore it with a very thin kind of dress sock the second time that doesn't have lines and is more like a nylon and it was perfect absolutely perfect..... I do feel I have plenty of support the only negative I will say is I don't think I could go down to a small but I do think that the medium is a little loose in the lower foot area I have bigger legs but my foot is fairly thin so it's not going to fit everybody the same way but I think it does the job well enough that it's what I needed I have torn tendons and tendonitis in my ankle so this is literally just what the doctor ordered I mean I ordered it but he suggested one LOL

Sizing runs SMALL--no size fits 14.5" (size 13)
Sizing appears to run small--14.5" (size 12 wide or 13 US) won't fit into "Large" sized brace Former national level competitive athlete i've broken and sprained ankles so many times the x-ray techs always have a look of shock as soon as they see the image show up on their screen (yay for modern computer imaging--its *amazing* compared to the olden days of film (which was amazing in its own right) the x-ray techs are legally and ethically prohibited from giving me any "diagnosis" or "medical advice" or the like--and these days i know better than to try to pry any information about the scan from them--but since the age of modern digital imaging where the tech gets a nice beautiful digital image of my ankle scan appear on their screen almost instantly, about 75% of the time the tech will ask me "how many times have you broken your ankle?" without me asking a single question or saying a word... i always answer the same: "i've never broken a bone in my life" and they promptly burst into laughter... my ankles have been broken and sprained so many times over my lifetime they're unable to count all of the fractures... so i've been wearing ankle braces and/or taping them off and on for well over a decade and am not particularly fussy about what brand or style of brace i use--because i've used a whole bunch of them... to the extent it would be helpful to future potential buyers i measured my ankle per the image below (which on me ≈ 14.5 inches) and when this brace sized "Large" arrived--brand new never even been laced up, it was too small to even fit over my foot. I have wide feet with a high arch and usually wear size 13 shoes or boots--sometimes a wide 12 fits well on me... but just FYI it appears that they don't make one larger than size "Large" and they appear to "run small" good luck folks--stay healthy out there and heal up fast! (IME tendons respond well to on and off ice and heat, anti-inflammatory meds and discipline NOT to re-stretch/tear those ligaments until they're fully healed (generally at *least* 6 weeks--yes longer than it takes for broken bones to heal!) tape works great if you're willing to do the work--for "high ankle sprains" these types of braces work great to protect against that twisty bad that can happen... there are ways to tape it instead but the braces end up being faster and the only issue is whether it fits under your boot...

Does well stabilizing the ankle.
Feels like the same support of the one I received at the Doctors office. No complaints. Good support and material, really strong Velcro, holds well. Haven’t washed it yet but so far working well.

Very supportive! Fits fine in adjustable lace shoes
Great fit, very supportive! Easy to customize. Fits fine in shoes where you can loosen the laces.

Great ankle support
Got this for my teenage son with sprained ankle. He loved it right away. It is quite steady and the quality looks great. It is a little bit bulky, so depending on your shoe it may not fit well. Though my son is quite comfortable wearing this with his basketball shoe. The shipping was quite fast eventhough I didn’t pay for a quick shipping.

It does what it claims very well
First a little backstory. In 1964 I had a bad motorcycle accident but obviously I survived. With a lot of broken bones. One of the breaks was a compound fracture to the lower Tibia on my left leg. The Orthopedic surgeon who put me back together pulled off a miracle reassembling me. The damages to the left leg included the ankle. I was told since I'm young and strong I won't have any difficulties despite one leg now being longer than the other by 3/8" but look out when I get way older. Well he was right. Now at 77 and wearing orthotics as well for many years the ankle on my left foot has been giving me lots of grief for months now. For no apparent reason while either walking or standing the arch on that foot just collapses and flattens right out putting a lot of strain and pain on the ankle. This ankle brace is a Godsend. It keeps my ankle from rotating and causing the arch to collapse. Although it looks bulky I can still manage to get into my sneaker and winter boots with it on. With the brace on i can walk briskly without fear of the collapsing arch and subsequent ankle pain that was preventing me from doing a lot of activities.

Great sturdy brace
I bought this to replace a 15yr old brace from my sister and the difference between them is so stark!! I’m happy; my ankle feels a lot more stable and sturdy. Still makes my toes lose some circulation and the outside of my foot goes numb but the feelings come back eventually, just need more time to break it in. Overall great quality brace for athletes!!

Working with the brace
I wear the brace working. Goes in my work boots fine. Haven’t had any issues so far. It takes a few days to get use too as it’s a bit bulky. I’m very happy with the product.
