Works great! I bought this product to create the effect of an old time carnival. I hooked it to four strands of Edison bulbs and it looks amazing. This product has many different effects. Flashing chasing you can speed it up slow it down it even has a timer.

EDIT: we initially had some trouble with the remote control for this unit. For some reason, we could not get the battery drawer to open. We contacted the seller, and he replaced the remote for us. FANTASTIC customer service; thanks, Joseph! The unit works perfectly — easy operation, too. What a pleasure to see my previously, utterly BORING C6 and C7 multicolored steady-glow LED tree lights begin to twinkle in beautiful patterns! I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase. Worth every cent — period!

Worked great

It works well enough with a few detractors. One, I find that the power output is inconsistent and can sometimes cause a little bit of flickering in my LEDs. Two the speed options don't do anything. The lights will flicker for a moment when you hit the button to change the speed, so it's like it's trying to register something but the speed buttons do absolutely nothing to the speed. Three, every single lighting option with the exception of the steady, ends in some sort of rapid blinking mode followed by shutting off and on repeatedly until it's finally just steady and then it cycles through again. There is no way to turn that off. So if you're using one of the slow glow options, for example, it's going to have this beautiful slow glow until the very end when it just starts rapidly flashing really really fast. I cut my video off after the first blank, but it repeats this for a solid 10 seconds off and on in maximum brightness like it's trying to signal an SOS. Every single light option except steady does this and I have no idea why you can't turn it off. The instructions say absolutely nothing about it. It is unbelievably annoying when you're trying to go for a nice cozy type of glow. It would also be really great if you just had a dimming option for the steady option. Alas there is not. This is great if you watch the videos promoting this to have a good idea on what each option does, but be warned that there are built-in functions into every mode that is just incredibly annoying. Additionally, the fact that all of the lighting channels have the same length of extension cord means that all of your lights need to be connected down through the tree to reach the box. Unless you're using an extension cord for each, which is what they suggest, but really not too fond of using an extension cord on top of this device inside my tree. Overall, I do think it's a good value, I like the remote, I wish there was an indoor only version that didn't have the three-prong, but you get what you get. It's a great way to add additional customization to your tree or your lighting setup. Have steady lights and just want something to help. Add a little bit more customization and flair without spending $300, this is a really good option. It's compact fits easily resting on the branches of the lower level of the tree, and I really enjoy it. The gripes that I have are very annoying and I wish they would change it for a future version which I would buy in a heartbeat. Great device, just a few points of improvement.

For years I have used a product similar to this for all my exterior lights; but these are old, no longer working 100%, and no longer available or supported. I love an 'animated" Christmas tree as well, and I have always relied on those small, brown in-line electric flashers to create multiple light patterns. Last year one of these sparked and began smoking while on my tree. Luckily I was right there when it happened but obviously not good. No more flashers. I was pleased to see the availability of this product. Much more practical and safer, with many more options. Ordered one this year and it is currently in service on my 2021 tree. Love the remote capability. Fun to play with the options. The extended warranty (to 3 years) if you register the product on-line is also a plus. The only suggestions I would make to the manufacturer are as follows: (1) the instructions that come with this product are too general and vague. They don't even mention some of the great capabilities and routine operational points of this product which I only learned through customer service contact (which is very responsive); (2) the other controllers I mentioned feature a built-in circuit breaker that merely trips upon overload, and is simply reset by unplugging the unit and re-plugging. This product requires a fuse be replaced if product is overloaded, which can be a bit of a chore (mine blew upon first use because I was handling a string of lit C7s while attached to the unit, which I do not recommend). Spare fuse included, and I am hoping for any future blows it is merely the same fuse included in mini-light strings, which are easily obtained); (3) the product data advertised for this is a little misleading, it states that each channel operates "independently" of the others. I took this to mean that each channel could be independently PROGRAMMED with a different lighting pattern from the others (imagine the possibilities). This is not the case, one pattern option affects all four channels. However, this is no big deal and the channels DO light independently of the others as part of the single effect pattern selected. Also, customer service informed me that in case the remote stops communicating with the Controller, hold down the red power button on remote for 10 seconds to reconnect with the Controller. I highly recommend this product and will likely purchase more in the future to control my exterior lights.

RF remote is only effective at close distance (10-15 feet). Seems to work more like IR than RF.

This product work’s excellent! Easy to setup and use, very simple. Lots of built in programs to give your holiday lights a real attractive show.

This controller is magnificent! It bring regular Christmas lights to life, I never imagine this can be done but this device is the game changer!

love this. Have had it for 2 years now and no issues. Works great through the Christmas cold and snow. Offers many options and makes my displays adn light sow look much better. May get another one for next Christmas season.
