Amazingly beautiful filament!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This has been my first experience with Rainbow PLA and this roll from GEEETECH really did a great job on my prints. I have attached a video of a fractal pyramid from Thingiverse. You can see the sheen from the silk really does set off the colors, making this print quite remarkable. I did get lucky and the colors aligned perfectly to really enhance the design. I'm looking forward to printing more with these colors. I'll probably pick up more and use just for random prints as I have found that some of the stuff I printed before looks great when reprinted with this material. Things like puzzles and other gifts seem to take a new life when I print them in the seeming random colors from this roll. For those interested: 0.16 layer height, 200/195 head and 70/60 bed on an Ender3 that is mostly stock other than an th3d board, bltouch, and Capricorn tubePros:- Amazing results when the stars align properly like my video- Silk finish is amazing- A post on the Ender3 Reddit sub showed a ton of interest and tips for printing with this if you are interestedCons:- I did have some failed prints from extruder filament grinding but this may be related to my equipment or setup. I havent had this on other filaments but it's happened a few times, so I'll be keeping an eye on it and tweaking a bit for future prints.- Not all GEEETECH filaments have come with a ziplock bag for storage, but I have tons of them around. Their packaging does not have a bag integrated into the one it is packaged in, but they did include one separately in some of my boxes.- Hard to find in stock! Buy it while you can!I'll be working my way through more of these amazing colors in their other filaments. I'm happy with my results from this GEEETECH PLA

Terrible Product!!!
I have tried a couple of different filament companies from Amazon. WYZ, Hatchbox and Overture to name a few. All were acceptable products (Hatchbox) being my favorite so far... This product was absolutely terrible and my first introduction to what a poor quality PLA looks like. 3 times I tried to print with this and all 3 times eventually the PLA became stuck at the extruder feed and eventually frayed where there was no longer any filament being fed into the tube. Coming back hours later to find out my machine was not laying down any plastic the whole time!!!! I have never had this problem with any other filament. Ontop of the fact that what it was printing wasn't even stuck to the print bed creating an upward warped piece.. I will never buy this product again

Clogs frequently.
Clogs very easy and requires disassembly of the hotend to remove because it cools to quickly. When it does work, it looks great but the frequency of clogging outweighs the rewards. (Using a Volcano brand hotend)

Worth the money. Shines nicely. GOLD AND COPPER!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. It is worth the price since all other filament has gone up in price but this is worth it. I ad it at 215 nozzle and 60 on my glass pei bed. The picture doesnt so it justice, it is shiny and smooth, will look good as ender 3 pro upgrade chain 😎Update: 7/13/20**I also bought the Gold PLA of this one.. it wont let me leave a review so I'll edit my old review. Same 5 stars across the board! I printed a Sans Underworld took me 12 hours and my daughter is so happy with her Gold Sans. The spool was perfectly wounde and there wasnt any issue with heat or odor or quality. I said it once and I'll say it again. GEEETECH has good quality PLA.**

Prints easy and is bright
Used the same settings as Geetech clear PLA (190C at 55mm/s and 4.5mm retraction) and print came out with minimal stringing. First layer doesn't stick quite as easily as the clear did, took a couple restarts to finally get going. Consistent layers, no skipping, no zits, so diameter seems to be very close to the advertised 1.75mm. Needs minimal sun exposure to glow bright enough for a cell phone picture to work. Very vibrant green. Overall happy with the purchase so far.

Amazing, Shiny Filament!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This filament is soooo shiny! I opened the box and it looks like a spool of copper wire. Printed great. Good adhesion, Easy release. I can't wait to print some more shiny copper projects!I printed this on a Creality Ender-3 with a Magnetic Flexible PEI Print Surface (210/60, 0.16mm layer height, sliced in PrusaSlic3r). The pictures are right after the print finished, with no post-processing other than removing the supports. (they came off very easily. support settings shown).

Prints well after adjusting settings
This silk copper pla prints pretty smoothly from my Artillery Sidewinder X1 and had no issues like clogging or anything. I did have to adjust my flow for the initial layer to get it to adhere better but that might’ve just been user error. The filament came extremely well packaged and the vacuum bag was sealed on arrival with a desiccant pack inside. Color of the filament looks similar to copper when multiple walls are used like in this makers coin from Makers Muse, but when I printed a vase it looked a little less metallic, again maybe just need to change up my settings or temperature. I definitely would not hesitate to order this filament again or even try out their gold or silver silk.

Amazing print quality a great filament for the price.
Im loving this filament so much it goes down so smooth. The color is deep and rich it really looks like copper. I have it at 210 on the nozzle and 60 on the bed. It sticks great on my glass bed that I have. And for the price its a great value for what you get. I have used many filaments and this is right up there with my favorites I will definitely be getting more.

🦄🦄🦄 Bonne adhérence, rendu parfait, Silver Gris, temp buse 205°, bed 60°🦄🦄🦄

Geeetech are fast becoming one of my favourite filament brands.
So, after a good experience with the Geeetech White filament, I thought I'd give something sparklier a try. This is an interesting filament, unlike most I've used it's pretty hard to snap off the reel. It adheres to my Prusa i3 Mk3S smooth PEI bed like nothing I've ever seen - I've taken to cleaning the bed less when using this or it can actually be hard to get parts off! If you just want a PLA to stick to the bed well, buy this and don't bother reading the rest! I really mean it, I've never encountered anything like this in terms of bed adherence.I kept the settings to the Prusa defaults, which I've generally had a lot of luck with, so 60 degrees on the bed and 215 degrees on the hotend. So far I've printed a brush holder, which is nice and shiny, and then thought I'd try some multimaterial prints. The thing about multimaterial prints on the Prusa with the MMU2S, is that it has to repeatedly unload and load the filament into the nozzle. The 2 colour benchy at 0.1mm layers I printed, changed filaments 335 times during the print, the other filament used in it was Geeetech Marble. If a filament is too stringy, too soft, snaps easily, or generally uneven, multimaterial prints like this are an utter nightmare, of failed loads followed by beeping for you to manually intervene.I didn't have a single failed load during this print (or during the star trek bade, but that one was only a few loads). I'm really impressed! And, to cap it all off, like the other Geeetech filaments I've tried, the price on this is definitely right.

A *GLOWING* recommendation! ;-)
Fantastic product!! This is actually my third roll of GITD filament, the previous two being from a different company. The difference is incredible! I have attached two photos, one with the lights on showing both benchies (geeetech right, competitor left) and again with the lights on. The left benchie is still there, honest! Not that you’d know. The ‘dark’ photo was taken after just a couple of minutes of artificial light and the geeetech benchie was positively glowing, and continued to do so for quite some time after. Can’t wait to print more stuff in it!The filament came well packaged and is wound so neatly on the spool, it was a real shame to start unwinding it!Just a word of warning, speciality filaments suchbas GITD or metallic ones are known to wear nozzles out much faster than ‘normal’ PLA, so if you start using these filaments heavily, be prepared to replace your nozzle sooner than you might have expected.Great filament, couldn’t recommend Geeetech enough!
