Unfortunately, BOTH units arrived with defective, nonfunctioning oxygen sensors. Receiving not just one, but TWO detectors with the exact same critical failure is completely unacceptable. These detectors are essential safety devices designed to protect workers in confined spaces and potentially hazardous environments. Without a properly functioning oxygen sensor, they cannot provide the reliable oxygen monitoring necessary to protect workers. Using defective equipment under these conditions could put lives at serious risk. To make matters worse, I was quoted an additional $413 to repair the first defective unit, despite the fact that it arrived in this condition. Now, with the second detector presenting exactly the same problem, I am facing another potential repair expense, additional delays, and significant frustration. It is completely unreasonable for customers to pay hundreds of dollars in repairs for safety equipment that should have been fully functional upon delivery. Both units should have been properly inspected and tested before being sold and shipped. I purchased these detectors through Amazon because I trusted the platform, the seller, and the MSA brand. Instead, I received two defective units, unexpected expenses, wasted time, and serious concerns about product quality and reliability. This experience has severely damaged my confidence in the seller, MSA, and Amazon. Safety equipment should never be sold in a condition that compromises its essential protective functions. Based on my experience with TWO defective detectors, I strongly advise other buyers to exercise extreme caution when purchasing these units from this seller. Customers deserve reliable, fully functional safety equipment—not defective products, expensive repair bills, and unnecessary risks to workers' lives. I am extremely disappointed with these purchases and expect a fair resolution without having to pay additional costs for defects that were present upon arrival.
