Lobo2in1 Tom Yum Paste with Creamed Coconut (Pack of 4)

I was born and raised in Thailand. I was so excited to see this product on Amazon. Sure enough-it does not disappoint me at all! I knew the brand Lobo pretty well since I saw it every where in Thailand. You can trust this brand. I LOVE Tom Yum. I can tell you that this product tastes so authentic. Here are my thoughts:Pros-1. EASY TO MAKE: the whole cooking time for me is about 10 min. This includes prep time of cutting meat and veggie. I love the soup since it has creamed coconut in it already. Most of the time I have to throw my canned coconut cream away since I do not use it all at once. Storing the leftover coconut cream is a hassle.2. SPOT ON FLAVOR: it says that you can add lime juice at the end. I do not add anything. It tastes like Thai TOM YUM I ate in Thailand. You can smell all the Thai herbs from the moment you open the pouch. The spiciness is just perfect for me.3. VERSATILE: There are 4 packs (each one contains a very sturdy aluminum pouch with the Tom Yum paste in it). You can try to change or add different meats or veggies each time you make. I used fish instead of shrimp and added tomatoes. Next time I will try tofu or chicken and add bell peppers instead for example. Options are endless! I use sliced baby bella mushrooms instead of white mushrooms. You can experiment on the heat level you like too-just add more or less water. I even think to use chicken stock to make it tastier next time.4. BANG ON YOUR BUCK: I ended up with 3 nice servings. My husband and I ate it with brown rice. It was perfect in the amount we got and we still had one bowl left even. Do not have to buy coconut cream absolutely saves my money and time.Cons-Cannot tear the aluminum pouch open easily-I recommend using kitchen scissors to cut the pouch. This does not bother me actually.I HIGHLY recommend Lobo 2in1 Tom Yum. I will order other flavors to try out as well. There are 6 more flavors to try.Thank you Amazon!!!! In terms of the expiration date, the package I got said best before 03/08/2018 which is awesome.

Be warned: while this stuff is delicious, it was clearly produced by someone who does not give a damn about your blood pressure.

Too much sodium

It's good although a little goes a long way. I used it on my vegie bowl and it tasted like I had ordered it from an Oriental restaurant.

I have traveled to Thailand before and really enjoyed the local cuisine, and this tom yum paste is exactly the same if not better than what I tasted back then, since the prep time is so short and you can even put in noodles to eat as a meal. For people that can't eat spicy that well I recommend you to only put in 1/4 of each pack since it is very concentrated.Even though the arrival time of the product took a little longer than expected, I can't really complain when I got to taste such delicious Thai cuisine!

When I traveled to Thailand, I loved Thai Green Curry the most. I am excited to find this product in Amazon. Lobo 2in 1 Green Curry does not disappoint me at all! This product is super easy to make. I added sliced beef and bamboo shoots. It tastes authentic-just the way I had it in Bangkok. The spice level is really nice-just right for me. Not to have to buy coconut cream is a plus also. The smell of the curry paste is already so aromatic from the moment you open the pouch. It is perfect with a bowl of hot steamed rice. I will try other varieties. Highly recommend!!!

By itself it was way too spicy. Next batch we added tomatoes to one and the cocanut milk to that...both very good!
