How to choose the right size for my bag? I cannot find it in description?

You can measure your bag's inner dimention and check with the size chart(the size of physical item is a little bit smaller than the following size)Or just email your bags size to the seller directly, they would help you get the right size.

Is there an insert that has pockets for credit cards. I do not like to use a wallet?

There is a specific pocket for credit cards it does have several pockets on both side and a zipper in the middle. I was pleasantly surprised with my purchase.

Are these true to size or do i need to leave an inch allowance on either side?

I have a LV mid-size handbag and it fits perfectly! I don’t think you need to have an inch allowance. I would measure mine, but my bag is so full it would take a lot to clean it out to measure it!. But I am super happy with the organizer!

Is the zipper enough sturdy? I am so upset I got one with zipper falling out from others.

Yes, the metal zipper and zipper stop design is nice. I have used for more than 4 year and now everything is right.
