I see so many people recommend it but when I bought i thought i will just ignore vietnamese and focus on english (my 2nd) and japanese (target language) but I could not! So distracting and the writing of furigana is so tiny. Wish it came only on 1 traslation language

This is not a beginner-friendly textbook and I would not recommend starting it too early. It does not teach or explain N5 grammar in much detail; it's a review book for people who have already studied most of the N5 material elsewhere. There are useful drills here, and it definitely exposes weak points, but many of the questions feel like grammar traps rather than normal learning exercises. Some practice items feel more frustrating than the actual JLPT N5 level, especially if you are tired or still consolidating the basics. That said, if you can survive Soumatome N5, you are probably in a decent position for the JLPT N5. Just do not expect it to be fun. Use it after a main textbook such as Genki, Minna no Nihongo, or Try! N5, not as your first N5 resource.

Kitap güzel kesinlikle içerik dolgun. Ama Vietçe yazılar beni çok rahatsız etti. Kitapta ingilizcenin ön planda olmasını beklerdim ama asıl ön planda olan dil Vietçe idi. Örneğin herhangi bir kanjinin doğrudan, tekil anlamı ingilizce olarak değil, Vietçe olarak verilmiş. Genellikle görsel hafızam ile ön plana çıkan birisi olarak kesinlikle bu durumdan hoşnut olmadım. Vietçe yazıları karalayıp çalışmaya devam edeceğim. Kitap biraz renksiz ve tuhaf bir dizaynı var gibi ama alışılabilir. Japonca için alınabilecek en sağlam kaynaklardan biri.

学習すべき項目が、よくまとまっていて、コスパも最高です。短いながらも説明がついているので、一人で勉強する方にも向いていると思います。

The book is a great quality and came well packaged. When I reached out to the seller due to a CD being listed in the title, I was informed newer printings only come with info to get the audio online so be aware! Still worth the value as I continue studying alone to eventually take the N5 exam. Worth the cost, especially with so many others available even here.
