Perfect for siblings!
We got to try this and other Angeles bikes at our local museum and the kids LOVED them. We got the Chariot as a birthday gift and our younger who can't reach the peddles yet is quite enjoying getting a ride. Family walks are quickly becoming stroller free. I like how sturdy it is and that nobody's small feet can set stuck in the wheels. The only problem I've noticed is that the platform could use a hole to drain rainwater.

Sturdy bike
I bought it for my 5 year old little guy who has autism and was refusing to pedal his regular bicycle. It took him a little while to love this trike but now he wants to use it every day, even when there's snow outside and 0 degrees Fahrenheit! It's very well built, not made of cheap plastic like most American toys for kids. This trike will last for a long time. It's a pleasure to see him pedaling on his own. He loves it!

Great Tricycle. Worth money.
Though I had terrible experience with Amazon, this was a perfect purchase for my son. He needed the bike to supplement his physical therapy. The seat prevents him from falling off and he he can still grow with it. One thing to keep in mind to assemble the two pieces together you have to have Hercules strentgh.

Not for special needs // extremely heavy bike // not worth premium price
Bought two of these for our girls ages 7 & 6. Both have Down Syndrome. They have an extremely difficult time peddling this bike. The long seat, while it seems ideal, causes them to slide back too far as they try to drive the pedals with the feet. The grips are very hard and our 7 year old says that they hurts her hands. The bikes do seem very sturdy and that they would last a long time but I can't imagine any child riding them for a long period of time. They are very heavy and not nearly easy to move as a chain-driven bike. Definitely don't think they are worth the price. On another note, if you do decide to get these, make sure you don't buy through the 3rd party seller VirVentures. They are not transparent with their return policies and if you wanted to return them, you will be expected to pay full return price plus a 20% restocking fee. I believe they're just drop shipping the product as the return would go back to the manufacturer. I also emailed the Angeles Company and I never received a response from them.

So far unable to use
I bought this for my son a year ago, he is now 4 and is still unable to use it as it is just very difficult to pedal and he is big for his age so it is not his size. I have been keeping it around because it was just so expensive and it does seem like it would hold up well as it’s well made, but I think by the time he is strong enough to get it to move he will be too tall to use it

Solid Bike - But too heavy for Special Needs son with mild physical disabilities.
We purchased this bike for our 5 1/2 yr. old son with special needs (Hypotonia). He just started to show interest in riding a trike and has only been riding a the trike at his preschool for a few weeks with assistance from his Physical Therapist. After doing some research, we decided on this bike only to discover it really is too heavy for our son. He really wants to ride it but due to the weight he has troubles getting going as well as steering the trike. This trike is very nice, solid construction and would be great for most kids even with special needs. We ultimately decided to return this trike and purchase the Angeles 12" Trike which is pretty close to the same size - just a tad smaller - and at least 6 lbs. lighter. It was disappointing that this trike didn't work for us and I was hoping it was a trike he could use now but also give us a couple of years of use. Our plan is to actually gift the trike to our son's Preschool when we are done using the trike.

Great quality...easy to ride.
Bought this trike for our autistic 6 yr old grandson. It's the first tricycle that he's been able to peddle and steer on his own. We're very pleased with the quality, too.
