Great IR Torch
Really powerful IR Illuminator for the price. Would work best in a handheld or helmet based set up. Almost too bright, and does end up autogating my Gen 3 Elbit WP tubes. Provides better IR Illuminator performance than most Full Power IR Laser/VCSEL set ups. I doubt it would handle long term shock from a Carbine, but definitely could be interesting to test out. Would also need to be installed really close to the muzzle, or else the end users will more than likely experience autogating. Extremely lightweight, takes AA batteries, and fits easily into a pocket. Perfect accessory or gift for the average NVG user.

These are outstanding
No sarcasm at all. Seriously. I have a NS750 Nightsnipe IR Extreme that works fantastic at 1,000 yards. These tiny things have that matched. I’m not joking. I bought two and just ordered two more. I think my Nightsnipe was around 75 bucks so this takes up so much less room, they are incredibly light. I’m getting the same brightness from a 1.5 and 3.7 volt AA so I’m guessing the 3.7 will just last longer. If I end up melting the thing and/or if a regular AA only lasts a few min then I’ll update my post but so far I’m extremely happy. * Jul 22-Aug 24 back to say still 5 star and all 4 still work great. I can’t leave well enough alone so I tinkered around and reversed the lens on one plus it’s got a 3.7v AA. Totally unnecessary but It tightened view for longer distance. I’ll find a way to blow one up. See what happens when I hook it up to my truck battery. NO, don’t do this. Just joking but hmmm

Works as intended with analog tubes
I bought this IR Light to use and an "Umbrella" light on my helmet. the first two pictures are of my counter top, 1 pitch black zero loom bleed, and the second is the same conditions but the light is being pointed at the celling. ignore that the camera is not focused through the tube, however you can see the light provides a huge change in available light in the environment. the next pictures are outside; conditions no moon, clear sky with a low amount of light pollution. one picture is no illuminator just the NVGs, next is the illuminator at its widest setting pointed at the building ~75m away. next is the illuminator at its furthest focal point aimed at the side of the building, and the last is the zoomed illuminator pointed ~20m in front of the device. closes points would be for a supplementary illuminator for IDing and engaging targets in the open as you can see it suffers greatly. however as a low ambi indoor and inclosed space device the low out put allows for enough light exposure that you can identify fine details without over powering and white washing the intensifier tubes. these pictures were taken on my S22 through an OMNI 3 thin film green phos. intensifier tube.

Depending on uses, not bad.
I originally purchased this IR flashlight to mount to my Vr headset as opposed to having lights on , or installing a stationary IR light in the office. For connecting to the headset the flashlight is a good weight, being one LED, lightweight material, and once purchased, installing a single AA battery. IT weighed in at less than 1/2 a lb. As far as brightness, in a small room it lit up the area fine for my use. (Granted I have the light mounted facing up to refract the light off of the roof and get splash lighting for the sensors to pick up. This worked for the most part, however once the light hit a moving fan it would interfere with the beam and I would lose tracking. Moving into another con, as previously mentioned by a poster the light does generate a bit of heat depending on the battery you use. This also affects the life of the light as well. Using a rechargeable 1350mah Energizer AA I saw a few hours of playtime without much heat. When I moved up to a 3500mah battery I was able to see much more extensive playtime, however, the flashlight was now very hot to the touch. Having a heat-generating item attached to your headset wound up being like a lump of hot coal gently resting against your head. A little too warm for comfort. As far as it goes it seems nice for off an on use under a short period of time, however, you will need to look forward to charging your batteries much more often. OR look at a much higher expense on your battery purchases. All in all, I think I'm going to have to go with the stationary light mounted in the room. Little less freedom and convenience for a touch more stability. That and peace of mind that my flash light isn't going to go up in flames after an expensive play period.

Great IR light for such a low price!
Great IR flashlight for using my video camera in nightvision mode. It's very bright and goes quite aways. I noticed someone left a bad review stating that you can't tell when it's on. I almost didn't buy it because of that review. It turns out that was false. All you have to do is simply look at the lens when it's on and you can clearly see the square red IR light with your own eyes. Now I'm ready to go out and film Bigfoot once all the snow melts.

Good value at price point!
Bought for traveling in sketchy areas. At price it's a quality product with - good optics - easily carried. - Lens caps permanently attached so they don't go astray! - threaded insert for tripod head mount hole Connection to phone not solid if moving (handheld, car, boat or plane) - okay on solid base but use 3 second timer. Single handed use with focus on top.

Note: apologies for the quality of the photos it’s a bit awkward to get this sorted. For the nod nerds it’s a gen2+ tube salvaged from an ATN NVM-14, cloudy night w/ 0% ilum (new moon) Picked this up as a backup light to sit in my crye nightcap, it gives good illumination and can reach decent distances to help identify objects or animals/livestock. Easy to source batteries since it’s a basic AA, good build quality and compact enough to comfortably store inside the counterweight pouch of my crye nightcap. My only gripe is the lack of adjustment with the zoom. The light is already fairly zoomed in like a spotlight and provides little adjustment to that, I’m going to counter this via a DIY diffuser to use it as more of a floodlight for navigating, but like I said for the money paid it is a good deal and is a functional piece of kit, I would highly recommend this and will be doing so to mates who run similar setups
