Cherry Wood Italian Parmesan Cheese Grater

Why did Amazon stop carrying this item? Makes no sense.

This was a gift for my son. So not sure how well it works. Haven’t asked him. But it looked like really nice quality and a great price. The wood was really nice and grater seemed really sharp.

Grater works fine. No complaints at all. Easy to hold in one hand. One concern is about how long the metal grater will stay in place on its wood base. The grater is held in place solely by friction, i.e., it does not lock into place. Over time the wood channels on each side into which the grater is placed might become larger through normal wear, thereby reducing their holding power. The grater has to stay firmly in place in order for it to work properly. Most likely any loss of holding power will take quite some time.

Havent used it yet but looks 1st class.

Very nice well built unit. Quality metal grate on a nicely finished wood base. Grates Parmesan cheese into nice flakes. Makes it easy to direct the flow of the flakes so that they don't go all over the place. Fairly easy to clean - the grate just pops out and slides back in. The unit I got has a finger hole in the grate for easy in & out.

Unfortunately, I have to give this a low rating. The item I ordered arrived with a decent sized crack in the wood. The item still seems functional at the moment, but I wouldn't be surprised if the crack in the wood spread further until the item split. If you're looking for a cheese grater, it might be better to get one not made of wood.

I have been looking for something like this for a long time. I can finally shave fresh Parmesan on my pizzas and control where the cheese lands. This is a great idea and it's well built too. I've been hand washing the grater part, I may try putting it in the dishwasher after the newness wears off. I hope it lasts, I'll let you know.

Expensive but it's worth the price. I'm very impressed with this product. Great size and very sharp I actually just grated off a piece of my finger. Wow. The Parmesan I grated came out very fluffy and thin, a small piece turned into a bowl of grated parm. The wooden base was awesome in capturing it all and not making a mess. Best grater I've used . Should have ordered bandaids with it.😜
