Super funny, action packed, romance, yummy men...
I came across this book by accident and I am so glad I did !This book is written in diary format, as Mathilda has just discovered that she is from a long line of witches and tha she is prophised to be a Super Witch, hence she starts her own Book of Shadows.Mathilda is a fashion concious American, who moves to England to help her aunt re-establish her coffee shop. Along the way, she meet lots of new people, supernatural or normal. She also meets two yummy men ( broody Ralph Fiennes type Sebastian aka Ash is my fave :))There is so much about this book that I love - thats its mostly set in the UK, Mathilda is very funny, loves her clothes etc, Becbec the fairy, Mathilda's aunt and that the story never lags or gets boring !I have kept this review short as i don't want to spoil the story for anyone, and i want everyone to enjoy it as i did !Overall, very funny, magic, otherworld creatures, romance, two sexy men and a great story line - what more could i ask for ?SO buy it now peeps, you won't be disappointed !Definately a keeper....so when is the next book out ?

Different but right up my alley!
I mean this was different but really right up my alley as I love KA and witchy reads are so cool especially in adult format!!!!Firstly, I listened to the audio and loved the narrator, Susannah Jones!Next, this story was actually set in my city! Claim to fame right there and it was full of English things like Tesco and English TV, love that!So basically Mathilda is 30 and just found out she is a witch and a witch who is the object to a prophesy, the chosen one. She is all over the place, a bit kooky and a lot of fun.Oh did I mention that she has to marry one of 2 men but she doesn't know which one from the prophesy? I hate a love triangle but I persevered but I certainly had my fave! This was sort of told in calender month, diary format, was action packed, funny and hawt in that normal KA style! One criticism, the word 'ack' was used so much I wanted to scream! And that ending. Wholly unsatisfying! And why isn't the guy that I don't like from their triangle not dead?!!!

A little different but a fantastic read!!!!
I'm a huge fan of Kristen's books but when I started reading Mathilda I wasn't quite sure what to expect....It's a bit different from the series that I love - Dream Man, The Three, Unfinished Heroes (and I'm sure the upcoming Chaos series!!) - you know the ones: hot, heavy & sexy - but it's still a fantastic read. Nowhere near as steamy as you would expect from KA but the romance was still there.Kristen took a girl who had no idea she was a witch and threw her into the magic world. She chucked in a kooky family, a witch coven, some great & loyal friends, a trendy coffee shop and 2 hot and very competetive 'bodyguards'.The plot was really good - there were a few twists and turns, a lot of laugh out loud moments, a few 'gasp & I can't believe its' - which had me a little bit teary eyed - and an ending that set us up for a future book on the life and times of Mathilda and her friends!!Definitely in the 'read again' category.... Check out Mathilda now, you'll be glad you did!!!

I am a huge Kristen Ashley fan
So this is the second book in a row from Kristen Ashley I feel a bit Meh about. I didn't like the heroine, I'm puzzled as to if there is a hero and to paraphrase my brother...to much fashion action makes me long for inaction. For you to like a book written as a diary, you have to like the character writing the diary. I didn't like Matilda.

Frustrating
As always. Imaginative, descriptive and incredibly well written, but it was definitely a set up for the next in series, so nothing resolved. Not a problem if you know next soon, but no sign next book. If you love Kristen, which I do, then I recommend buying when next in series published so you don't feel frustrated with end.

Super Fun
I was prepared not to like this book, I’d read mixed reviews and although I love all of KA’s other books (I’m a bit of an addict!) I wasn’t sure if a diary like book was for me...... I could not be more wrong, I loved Mathilda and all of her coven, so many wonderful characters who I need to know more about and don’t even get me started on Aiden and Ash (I’m hoping for a #why choose moment as I’m not sure how she can choose between the two!) I feel like there is so much more to tell in the stories started in this book and I really hope we get some more.

Loved it , give it a go !
Had this for ages on my Kindle but the diary format put me of starting it . Wish I had not waited so long, as I loved it . A very different KA but very good, Hot Alpha men , witches and plenty of action.... Really hoping for another book to follow.

Another great read from Kristen
Love everything from Kristen Ashley! Can’t wait for the next one. At first the way it was written was a little annoying (diary entries) but you get used to it.

Not as bad as I expected it to be
As a HUGE KA fan, I put this off because of the bad reviews. Now that I've read the book, I'm wondering why?!? So, to be fair, it is different from her other books but you can tell it's pure KA. It has many elements of her other books. The characters - awesome. Ash and Aidan, HOT. The world-building and the setup, very good. I was nervous about the journal-style writing, that didn't detract from the story in any way for me.I think more people should give this a chance. It was a fun, lighthearted book. I actually hope we get to see more of Mathilda!** SPOILERS **The two guys, that was a twist. I was sure it would be resolved, it wasn't. For some reason, the love triangle didn't bother me as much as I expected it to. I actually liked both guys, if I had to pick, I'm not sure that I could. Ash? Aidan?

A fun and fantastical read!
A fairytale for adults, written in the unique, quirky style of Kristen Ashley. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Nope, not a good read.
This is less of an amazing Kristen Ashley novel and more of a bunch of word vomit. Someone said it is fast paced, um, no - it is frenetic and chaotic. She actually has Mathilda say during the gathering that "why use 100 words when one will suffice".Exactly, this book needs a 40% edit. There is a good story here but it is completely buried in extraneous verbiage.Glad I waited until I got this book for free before I read it. It won't stop me from reading KA or even rereading my favourite KA books, I won't be keeping this on my kindle. Permanent delete.

Stick with this book... It's worth it!
Before reading this, I read a lot of the reviews on Goodreads. They are all over the place with ratings, but I decided to give it a go anyway. I am so glad that I stuck with it!Yes, Mathilda, SuperWitch is written and diary style. And yes, when you begin to read it, it is quite annoying. What annoyed me the most wasn't the diary style of writing so much, it was all Mathilda's inner thoughts after inner thoughts and brackets upon brackets within the book. It took a while for me to train my mind to ignore them.Mathilda herself was also quite annoying at times. She is a 34 year old woman, but the way she carries on and by the way that she thinks, she could have just as easily been 15. She came off as quite immature, and she was such a drama queen! After I got past my issue with Mathilda's inner thoughts and all the brackets within the story, the book actually flowed quite nicely and I was totally hooked! There's a taste of every paranormal and magical creature in this story. There's a lot of action and a story line that kept me guessing throughout. There are TWO heroes with totally opposite personalities, but who are both equally lovable.I thought the book ended quite well. The storyline, for the most part, finished nicely. The annoying thing? We as readers are left wondering which of the two heroes Mathilda is going to choose! We are left hanging! Without even the tiniest clue as to which was she is going to swing!I sure hope that the sequel to Mathilda, SuperWitch isn't too far away. I feel for those who have read it in previous years and are still waiting for the second book!
