Has anyone had a problem with it squeezing one side more than the other and ending up with one side of the tofu being thicker? Any suggestions?

I only had this issue one time. I made sure to portion it in the middle the next time & I always flip the tofu when I drain & do the second press. The issue isn’t with the press, it’s with the tofu itself (or at least that was the case for me) tofu isn’t always the same consistency on all sides. I love this press! I hope that helps.

Does the top press part come apart for washing?

Yes. The entire thing is dishwasher safe & comes completely apart with the exception of the spring. The flat part that connects to the spring is detachable.

Funktioniert recht gut

Bei dem Preis hätte ich eine bessere Verarbeitung erwartet. Dennoch die für mich beste Presse am Markt. Für alle Standardgrößen von Tofu gut geeignet. Größter Vorteil ist die kompakte Bauweise, die es erlaubt auch im Kühlschrank einen Platz zu finden. Das ganze Teil ist zwar spülmaschinenfest, ich wäre aber mit der Feder etwas vorsichtig. Empfehlenswert.

Easily the best tofu press. I have tried so many presses but they always break or are flimsy and don’t work. After about three years of use it’s still working as well as the day I bought it after using it 2-3 times a month
