This is a high quality clean protein powder that I use in smoothies and when making high protein pancakes or waffles. While the chocolate is great tasting, I prefer the vanilla because it's easier to incorporate into non-dessert recipes such as quick breads.

I have been using Garden of Life Sport Certified Grass Fed Whey in the Vanilla Flavor for a long time. I have probably gone through at least 6 containers over time. The packaging was always blue. This package is white. I just used this one for the first time. It has a chemical taste that previous purchases never had, ever. The consistency of the powder was finer. That didn’t bother me but it may have been a tip off. I will finish this container but go back to Vitamin Shoppe in the future. Even if it costs more!!

I really like this product for when I make a protein shake I order the vanilla, and I don’t mind the flavor or consistency. It seems to be a great product.

Seriously the best grass-fed whey protein out there. I’ve tried all the top labels and this is the only one that scores top marks in all categories; taste, mixability, digestion. Personally all the wheys slightly upset my stomach, even the ones that claim lactose free. However this one never does. Not sure how they pulled that off. I am definitely now a lifelong customer.

I love this product. I buy the vanilla version. It tastes great and I love the fact that it's from grass-fed cows. Also, it has a great amino acid profile. Not all whey protein manufacturers put the amino acid profile on the bottle. Look at the high level of BCCA amino acids and low sodium. This is clearly a high quality product.

The old formula (made with erythritol and in a gray container) was 5 stars and fantastic. I bought it regularly as I'm a competitive athlete who needs to build/maintain muscle. It was the cleanest option I could find at a reasonable price and was usually available on Amazon. Worst case I purchased at whole foods at a markup should Amazon be temporarily sold out. However, recently the company made some updates to their recipes where they swapped the erythritol for Stevia, and the resulting changes are truly terrible. The texture is now extremely grainy and no longer chunky (which while great for accurate measuring, is much less palatable), and the containers I have ordered since the swap have had a rancid smell to them. While I haven't gotten sick from consuming the protein, the food I add it to is not as tasty and consuming the powder by itself is no longer possible due to the smell. I spoke to the company's support staff, where they confirmed that this change is likely here to stay, so if you can find the old stuff (usually in a gray container, but check that it's made with ERYTHRITOL, not stevia), definitely buy that. But despite what the picture on Amazon says, they are delivering ones in a white container with Stevia now, not the old formula in grey, and I would stay far away from that. The chocolate with the new formula isn't terrible, although it is worse than the old chocolate formula, but the new vanilla is absolutely disgusting. They also don't accept refunds for the powder now, so buyer beware.

Great shake I. have been using Garden of Life products for a while now. I cannot say enough good things about them. This product mixes well with a simple blender bottle. I don’t even use the blender wire it mixes so well. It helps me get the protein I cannot possibly consume from my everyday diet. The ingredients taste good, and I actually had more water than recommended because I don’t like its flavor too strong. It’s also a good idea because adding more water gives me more fluids. Since it’s powder, you can make it to your own taste. Stevie is added for sweetness and to keep the calories low. People with diabetes can use it too because it’s sweetened with Stevia, which doesn’t raise your blood sugar. Another good choice to put in here would’ve been monk fruit. That is also a 0-cal sweetener—otherwise, an excellent choice.

I'm not using any other brand normally and have been enjoying it a lot so far. I was using the Vanilla and Chocolate flavor versions interchangeably. This time, I'm totally disappointed with the Vanilla. It has a very heavy sugar taste and an artificial, fake flavor. I will finish this Vanilla box but won't buy it again unless they go back to the previous formula.
