Q: After how long should you re-apply silicon?

Ive used these for years...Just bought 4 more and a can of silicon spray to go with them....I usually reapply the silicone at least 2 times per year to the cloth.

Q: What do you use if you want to reapply silicon?

For $6.95 I would just buy a new cloth.

Q: Would this silicone cloth remove the brass plated finish off a Henry Golden Boy?

I personally am not aware of any detrimental effects on brass finish. The silicone is meant to displace surface moisture on carbon steel to reduce surface oxidation that would lead to corrosion. I wouldn’t think that there would be much benefit on brass however.

It will leave a light coating at first then it will look dry later on the Firearm.
