Room for improvement but I love them anyway because they sound amazing
I have to acknowledge that these headphones have an outdated bluetooth codec, yes, and also the touch controls are not well implemented, this is also true. I knew about this when I ordered them, and I can confirm that the touch controls can be annoying and sometimes don't respond, while other times they are too sensitive and you hit them by accident. But, I dunno, it still works, and the quality of the controls don't matter all that much, and I love these headphones anyway. They sound great. They sound really flat in how they're EQed, the stereo image feels way wider than these little closed headphones have any right to, and everything is really detailed. And, honestly, even though the bass and the air are not boosted the way they are on consumer "scooped" sounding headphones, on the Hi-X25bt the bass and the air is all there and it's really clean and accurate. Just not boosted. And, they're very light weight and SUPER comfortable. I got these because I have the Austrian Audio Hi-X65 open back headphones which are my favorite headphones, better than anything I've ever heard (and, cost three times what these Hi-X25bt headphones cost). I got these because they're bluetooth and they're the same brand and similar driver design etc. The sound signature is different... These Hi-X25bt have more mids around 1kHz, while the fancy Hi-X65 are warmer and have stronger low mids that make everything sound beefy. Of course, the Hi-X25bt just don't sound as good and definitely don't feel as nice as the company's much more expensive open backs, but they're still great in their own right. Also, they do not have ANC, but they physically isolate you pretty well enough, at least for my needs. I don't really want ANC anyway, it feels weird with the pressure in my head, and ANC always involves compromises on sound quality. I'd rather just have good-sounding high-quality closed-backs like these. If you want lots of bass, look elsewhere. Or, you could buy these and EQ up the bass, I guess. It's there and accurate, it just isn't boosted. Unfortunately, though, there's no app for these headphones and you cannot adjust their built-in EQ. You have to EQ from the source (e.g. the eq in the Spotify app). That's unfortunate. I pulled down 1kHz just a tiny bit. I go back and forth with wishing I had purchased the Audio-Technica ATH-M50xBT2 headphones instead of these, since the Audio-Technicas have more features (better codecs, adjustments with an app, better controls), but then I put on the Austrian Audios and remember how very comfortable they are, and they sound amazing. Definitely more comfortable than Audio-Technicas. So, I'm happy and I know I will continue to use these daily. Yeah, my expensive headphones sound better, but often I do not want a cable in the way, and/or I might need the isolation of closed-backs, so it's often worth the compromise. If you need zero latency, you can plug them in, too, just don't loose the unusual usb-c-to-headphone-jack cable that comes with them!

New favorite headphones
Only con is the sensitivity of the touch controls, other than that amazing headphones not even considering the price.

Great sound, persistent issues with establishing BT connection.
If these worked properly I'd give them 4 stars. Great sound for the price, but it always has an issue connecting. The included cords are way too short, double the length or include a coiled cord. Their microphones are incredible, but these headphones are a disappointment, knowing the quality of their other products.

6 months of sort-of usefulness.
Wow. What a (checks dates) 6 months it has been. Pros, they sound decent. Cons: - The touch sensor is bananas. I have about 1/4 inch of "bumper" tape over the touch sensor just so it doesn't trigger with basic movement. Stretching, etc. - Both ear cans now have broken extenders. They come out of the housing, leaving the cans hanging by wires. They can be pushed back in, but now I need to be careful putting them on, taking them off, etc. So, decent sound. Touch sensor is garbage. Not remotely durable. But, if you're like me and hate all forms of noise cancelling, and you baby them, along with never getting your arm anywhere near the touch sensor, they may be for you.

Would not hold a charge
These headphones worked as long as they were plugged in. Battery would not hold a charge.

Phenomenal Jack Of All Trade Headphones: Make Sure To Burn Them In Before Judging!
I read some reviews elsewhere about these headphones being a little lacking in bass and at first listen I agreed, but after blaring music through them overnight to burn them in, the drivers seemed to loosen up and the bass response increased noticeably. I have some older Ultrasone DJ headphones for casual listening and Sony MDR-V900HD for mixing, and I'd say these fall squarely in the middle as far as their frequency response: they're pleasant enough to not be dull, but precise enough for studio use, so they're definitely a jack of all trades. My Ultrasones are getting a bit ragged so I originally got the Hi-X15's to replace them, but these are so balanced that I might end up retiring the Sony's, too! They're light but sturdy, very comfortable, not the least bit fatiguing when used for extended periods, and for $119, I couldn't possibly be happier.

Bin sehr zufrieden!

Clear and nimble
These are about the sound, with high quality and no frills. No ANC, no app, and I have not yet mastered the touch controls (I will). They are comfortable to wear, and can be used as passive phones (a real plus to me). What makes them keepers for me is the neutral sound, picking up so many details in a timely manner and very listenable (with the same detail) at lower volumes. I thought my Dali phones were as clean (ish) and detailed as I would find, as I am not happy with the tuning of many leading brands. The answer of course is less tuning. Austrian Audio carries the AKG legacy of clean cans for studio use. A winner!

Overachievers For Their Price Range!
Sadly a few weeks ago my trusty AKG N60NC headphones broke. This left me in a tricky situation because I knew it was highly likely I would need to look elsewhere for my next set of headphones due to Samsung’s acquirement of Harman back in 2017 causing a change of direction for the company. I like to see myself as someone who shows brand loyalty when I find a company that I believe make very high-quality products for a reasonable price. After a little research around the internet, I found out that a few of AKG’s management & engineers had formed a new company called Austrian Audio, which intrigued me to look deeper at their headphones. I was looking for some headphones on a budget of £150, and when I found the Austrian Audio Hi-X25BT headphones, after reading some reviews on them, I knew I had to give them a try, so I did. For me in a pair of headphones there are four main factors in what decides whether they are good or not so good, build quality, comfort, features and obviously sound quality. Build Quality 4/5 At this price range sadly the build quality around this market is not the best, normally involves a lot of plastic, and although this is still the case with the Hi-X25BT the frame inside is metal which makes the headphones feel well made. I love the look and feel of the headphones and I see them lasting a long while. Comfort 5/5 This was the one downfall of my previous headphones (AKG N60NC), after a couple of hours, I would start to feel a little pressure right in the middle of the top of my head where the band rested. However, with these headphones, I can happily say they are the most comfortable headphones I have ever owned. They are not extremely heavy which makes them feel light on the head. I can easily wear these for hours with no discomfort. Features 4/5 The headphones come with the obvious Bluetooth so you can easily connect them to any device that supports Bluetooth. The set-up process was easy, and they automatically connect back to your device when you turn them on. Austrian Audio also say you should get up to 30 hours of battery life, and although I have not owned or used them long enough to confirm this, I can say I have got some decent battery life from them (Been using them for at least 15 hours and not charged them yet). You can also use the headphones with the USB-C to 3.5 Jack wire included in the box if you desire. A downfall for most will be the fact that the headphones do not support ANC (Active Noise Cancellation). This wasn’t such a big issue for me as I never intend to take these headphones out of the house or use them around overly noisy environments, but I know many people will be put off by Austrian Audio’s decision to exclude this feature. Saying that though they are over-ear headphones, so they do cut out a small amount of outside noise, which is good enough for me. Lastly, the headphones do offer ways of controlling your music (volume, pause, play etc.) and I believe they have implemented these features into their headphones great, but I do find the controls a little sensitive to the touch. I have a fair few times accidentally paused my music when trying to rearrange the headphones. I have overtime got used to this and do it far less, but it was something that bothered me for a while. Sound Quality 5/5 This is obviously the most important factor of any headphones you buy, and I am pleased to say they do not disappoint. These headphones are by far the best sounding headphones I have personally owned. They sound a lot better than the AKG N60NC’s that I highly rated. When I listen to vocals, casual talking or music, everything sounds so crisp and clear, also acoustics sound incredibly vibrant. Most companies these days also tend to put too much bass into their headsets, which I am not a massive fan of. Austrian Audio on the other hand I think have balanced the bass very well, you know it is there, but it isn’t booming too much. I wasn’t expecting the headphones to sound as good as they do, even a family relative believes these headphones sound better than his headphones which were almost double the price! Conclusion I imagine you can get much better headphones if you are willing to spend a lot more money, but for £150, unless you need/want ANC, you cannot go wrong buying these headphones. For the price, they offer great build quality, comfortable listening and truly amazing sound quality. I highly recommend them!

Excelentes
