Stylish with simple features
Bought at £150 price. Good stylish watch with nice hybrid screen. Lume is ok- but watch has a light if you double tap screen. Citizen App is easy to use, very good health sleep tracking etc. This is no apple watch, only basic other features- no email but does notifications fine- although you cant ‘see’ and read all.. battery is amazing last ages between charges- main reason for purchase. If you want a hybrid watch with a decent opersting system solid basic features and long battery life. This is pretty good. Quality higher than expected. 24mm strap.

URGENT As of 25/7/2003 No android support in the play store. No CZ connect app to link with.
There is NO cz connect app in the play store, it has gone, so watch is USELESS on android phones.Citizen are currently negotiating for its return.Check the store before buying

Great mix between Smart Watc functions and a traditional watch
I have always looked for a watch that combines smart features with a traditional.watch feel, add in long battery life and this watch has it all. It cannot replace my smart watch completely but it sure is close and looks good too

Do NOT pay too much - not worth more than about £150
MY watch is apparently the FIRST GENERATION of Citizen CZ Smart Watch. DO NOT confuse 'Gen 1' with 'Gen 2'. They use COMPLETELY DIFFERENT APPS.I had to ask Citizen directly (Amazon had no clue!) about which app was the right one, since My Watch Box has CZ Smart on it, I thought that will be easy since Apple Application Store would know which is the right one for MY watch - NOPE!Though if I had known which generation of 'smart watch' was the one I bought (before I bought it) AND if I had known how crap its 'App' actually is, I would propbably NOT have bought it.But as I will say HERE it was waay cheaper than an Apple Watch - about £140.So do not have high expectations of it.Whether 'Gen 2' (with an app that APPEARS TO BE MUCH BETTER, but is it?), is better value I have no idea but that one is around £280 the last time I looked. It looks similar to me, but there is not one I would want from its range of colours, but only because I already have a Blue Gen 1.My opinion about Gen 2 would likely be different if I had NOT got a Gen 1 already.Gen 1 is therefore only relatively good value for money (I got it for waaaay less than the claimed 'RRP' which I would NEVER have paid, that was waay too much), at about £140.No where near 'as useful' as an Apple Watch, no where near as 'easy' to use but the battery lasts at least two weeks - when you don't wear it!!.I have not worn it yet for even 24hrs straight, so can't vouch for its battery life while it in use.It is not as comfortable (for me) as an Apple Watch nor as comfortable as any of my 'other analogue' watches. The strap is the problem, like it is for me on most watches I have tried and NOT bought, or HAVE bought & got other straps for. THIS watch has a UNIQUE lug/strap width (at least 25mm or more!)Even wider than on my Casio G Shock. To actually USE this watch, is much more complicated & the 'info' provided is quite limited compared to Apple, but at least the Analogue Hands are REAL not digital, so you can see 'the time' at a glance. However the 'Lume' (which IS there), is VERY POOR, and all you will see 'in the dark' are the hr/min hands - there is no 'sec' hand anyway. The 'screen' which DOES light up (a little) when in use does NOT show up bright enough in the dark to read ANYTHING.Any 'smart functions' are for DAYTIME ONLY.'Other info' shown on screen WITHOUT touching the control buttons, is too small to read (for me) without reading glasses & only shows 'Steps', previously registered (when?) rather than VERY RECENT heartbeat, & distance travelled during 'running/excercise'?Any other info like Battery level & whatever else it is capable of generating or showing or any other function, has to be 'found' by multiple button presses. But I suppose that is what you get from a so called 'smart watch' that was designed to have long battery life - no touch screen control, & info hidden untill you find it. But it is also less than a quarter the price of an Apple Watch.I do actually like very much how it looks too. Don't bother with expecting 'the app' (that you apprently NEED - to be able to enable the watch to do anything at all) to actually do very much once the watch is linked to the app, since the APP provides VERY LITTLE actually useful info (to me, but you may disagree). On my iPhone I get constant reminders - every few days - that 'I have not connected' with my 'smart watch' recently. Or something similar. The app is 'Citizen Connect' so I guess the reminder is kind of logical. I have no idea how to stop then or even IF thosereminders can be stopped. I do not need them.I expect that deleting the app would do that, but then your 'smart watch' would be completely useless without even any link to what the time is, never mind anything else. But since 'the app' does very little once your watch & app are initially 'registered with each other', the reminders are not really needed.

Solid hybrid watch but be wary of some Amazon prices
PROSComfy: Strap is super soft. Has raised bit at end to keep in place under the two loops so no ‘ends-of-watch-strap-flapping-about-itis’. Easy to clean if gets sweaty.Smart: Love the blue bezel with white and orange accents on face of watch / hands / pushers. Looks like a real watch 🤣Simple: It’s got minimal smart watch features… which is what I wanted! Notifications for standard and WhatsApp messages work a treat. Straightforward user interface and I enjoy pushing the pushers. Gives me just the level of customisation I was hoping for.Low maintenance: Promise of long battery life with eink screen TBC. I’ll report back on this in a few weeks.STAND OUT POSITIVES NOT EXPECTEDI love the design of the hands. Great how you can see through them e.g. when operating backlight.I enjoy how the hands zoom around e.g to show what function you are on when navigating menus, during countdown timer (can switch back to main static display if want to save battery).Backlight is super clear - uses four LEDs arranged in a square. Just tap bezel to switch on.ONLY ONE CON!I’ve got skinny wrists and it wears quite large. Sometimes the pushers dig into my skin or bump up against the nobly-bony bit in my wrist. I’ll hopefully get used to this….WATCH SOME AMAZON PRICESRRP in Jan 2023 was £269. You can get 10% discount on Citizen website and I got 15% off with another specialist UK watch store.

Loving it
Great blend of style and functionality! I love how it combines traditional watch design with smart features like fitness tracking and notifications. The battery life is amazing - lasts about 2 weeks on a single charge. Easy to use and set up too. The 44mm size is perfect for my wrist. Only gripe is the stock silicone strap, which isn't the most comfortable - definitely recommend swapping it out for a different band. Highly recommend the watch itself, though!

Can't download Citizen Connect app
The Watch has excellent build quality and a stylish look. However, you can't download the Citizen Connect app in our region, making unusable.I'm almost going to return it, but I found a workaround by changing my billing address to get the app from the Google Play Store. Also, if you're an older user, you might need your reading glasses to see notification

Long battery life and lots of apps make this a winner
So I’m writing this review about 1 year after I purchased this watch. I read reviews of people who just bought or had it for a month or two, so I decided to wait to give an opinion after much use.I bought the watch because I wanted to keep track of my sleep and activity, but I also wanted an analog watch, I was looking for the best of both worlds. And I wanted the watch to be nice looking. So, about the watch. It’s a nice watch, kinda sporty looking which was ok. It took a little bit to figure out how to do things as it did not come with a manual. But once I figured out what app I needed to download I was set to go.The app offers different faces and different setups where you can display what information you want. It also offers some other “things” like sports scores and such, but I was not able to figure that out and quite understand what to do or anything like that. That’s ok, those are not things I need.I have several other Citizen watches which I love. This watch is no different. I wear this for work, I wear it almost every day, so it gets used a lot. The battery life was quite surprising as right out of the box it was lasting 20-21 days. The charge only takes an hour or two, so I could charge it at night after work. A year later and it’s not lasting quite as long, but still a decent amount of time. I just charged it and will come back and update how long the battery is lasting now, as I forgot to check before writing this review. So far, the rubber strap is great. I would recommend taking it off a few hours a day as the rubber may affect your skin underneath over time. The last thing I would recommend is a screen protector. I tend to just go about my day, without much thought. Bumps and bruises which I have no idea where they came from are a daily occurrence. Knowing this, I purchased screen protectors and I’m glad I did as I’ve gone through quite a few already. I’m not too sure how well the screen would have held up otherwise. As of now, the watch looks almost brand new a year later.Overall I’m very happy with the style, functions and quality of this watch. If you’re in the market for an analog watch with some smart mixed in, I highly recommend this watch. Citizen always makes quality watches and this one is no different.
