If you store items in boxes get this tape. It does not give up after a couple of years like the clear stuff. It has reinforcement strings for amazing strength. Shipping that heavy box this is your tape. It is a little tough on the tongue, be careful of paper cuts.

I don't have the machine it is made for, but I moisten the glue with a damp sponge and I am quite satisfied with the results. It is a bit of a hassle, but I much prefer to tape shipping cartons and moving boxes with reinforced water activated tape. I will very likely buy another roll when this one is finished.

The edges of the tape don't seem to have enough adhesive to keep the tape secured to the box.

Excellent quality at a price much lower than other sellers. First thing I noticed is it’s a little bit thinner than other brands I’ve used in the past, but at no point during the use of the first roll did I ever sense or fear that this caused an inferiority. It’s still fiberglass reinforced, after all. I’ve actually grown to like it more on the lightweight side because it’s a little easier to manipulate (I’m not using a dispenser of any kind. I’ve been hand cutting and wetting with a sponge for years. It works for me). I’m ordering more rolls right now. ***UPDATE DECEMBER 2023*** I’m now on my fourth roll of this tape and highly recommend it. For a single roll, the price can’t be beat. I could cut costs by buying in bulk from a different supplier, but I really don’t want to have to store multiple rolls of this stuff. If you’re like me and only need one roll at a time, don’t hesitate. You won’t regret it.

This is my first time using water-activated gum tape, but I'm very happy with it. Because I've not used other similar products, I don't have a point of reference for how other brands perform. All I can say is I am impressed with its holding power and will continue to order it. If you (like me) haven't used this type of tape before, I reccomend giving it a try. No other adhesive tape will give you the strength and secure hold that this type of tape gives you. There's a small learning curve with it. You need to get used to how it reacts to water, how wet you want to get it, and how quickly it tacks up. But once you do, you'll be as impressed as I am with how professional your packages look and how securely they are kept closed.

Ended up buying a water tape dispenser to use with this curby tape and works great, very tacky and sticks to cardboard boxes without any issues, I used lukewarm water and stuck really well, I will absolutely buy more of this when I run out.
