Garrett Pro Pointer pinpointing metal detector

Love the pin pointer and use it often. It saves a lot of time. If I was to buy another one it would have to be waterproof.

Der Pinpointer ist massiv verarbeitet, liegt gut in der Hand und auch das Gürtelholster ist sehr praktisch. Ob man flächig mit der Seite oder gezielt mit der Spitze sucht, die Gegenstände werden präzise angezeigt. Er ist aber eben nur zum direkten Orten des Gegenstandes gedacht, also eine Ergänzung zum großen Metalldetektor und keinesfalls ein Ersatz. Ein sehr gutes Gerät!

the Pro Pointer is a excellent and vital piece of equipment, after detecting an object with my metal detector and digging up the soil it is often difficult to visually locate the object this is when the Pro Pointer comes into its own in detecting.The Pro Pointer is light,portable,very durable and easy to use,it emits a clear and audible signal when near the object no matter how small the object is.The Pro Pointer has saved me countless hours of searching and i wouldn,t go detecting without it.

I haven't had this too long, but I am thrilled with it. It does everything I hoped for and more. With just a little practice, it is easy to zero in on a target. The ability to "adjust" the sensitivity through the power up, is a nice feature. The varying vibration is pretty nice too and it gives nice positive feedback.I have done some experimenting with it and I amazed at just how small and object it will detect. It has other practical uses too. You can pinpoint a screw or nail head in a wall, Trace the way wire is routed in a wall, find a dropped screw in the grass and it will also pick up metal like hidden nails in a piece of wood. If you do any woodwork and plane down reclaimed wood, this is something essential. It works as well or better that units designed specifically for that.The size is pretty handy and it seems very durably built. The holster that comes with it is fairly nice too. Someone suggested that it falls out to easily, but if you turn it as you holster it, it grabs pretty snugly. I suppose a retainer strap would be OK, but I don't see it as necessary.The LED light is nice. Not bright enough to use as a flashlight, but perfect for down in a hole. Any brighter might be too bright. This thing is very well designed. You can find some similar for less money, but I don't think you will find any better. It does what it was designed to do and very well.
