Yes, I'm reviewing a toilet seat. Why? Because it's a good one. About 10 years ago, I moved into a new house that had white Church wooden toilet seats. This was before Church came out with the EasyClean hinges. The seats were comfortable, durable, and trouble-free, though cleaning around the hinges was always difficult (just like with any other toilet seat I've ever seen). Unfortunately, the seat in the downstairs half bath ended up with a dent on the lid from the kids banging it open against the flared edge of the tank lid day after day. I went out and bought a traditional Bemis toilet seat that looked just like the Church toilet seat. Big mistake. It installed easily and worked fine, but there was a sharp seam of some kind running around the inside of the seat and around the outside of the seat. If anyone sat there for more than a couple minutes, the seam was very noticeable. I was informed of this by several family members, and I had to agree that it wasn't a good place for doing any reading... Thinking I'd just gotten a bad seat, I went by the store to look and found that the rest of the seats had similar seams. Since I couldn't find Church seats at local stores, I ended up buying one from Amazon. And it was just as comfortable as the rest of the Church seats. When I moved out of the house, I replaced all of the seats with brand new Church seats (after thorough toilet cleanings, of course). It's easier to sell a house when the toilets are pristine and have brand new seats. After moving into my current house, I replaced the existing seats with Church EasyClean seats. They remain rock-solid and, as the name suggests, they're very easy to clean. Turn the two plastic knobs at the back of the seat to the left, and the seat lifts right off of the mounting posts. Clean up the hinge area with a few wipes, place the hinges over the posts, and turn the knobs back to the right. Now the seat is locked in place again. It doesn't get any easier than that. These seats are very easy to install. They don't move or slide around, have a solid feel to them, are quite durable, easy to clean and are very comfortable. Highly recommended!

I looked at replacement Kohler seats till I was blue in the face, and because of the positive reviews on this seat decided to go with it. What a good purchase! First of all, it's bright white, super sturdy being wood, and double packaged on delivery. Installation was a snap, taking all of three minutes. Hard to get excited about a toilet seat, but when it's 40% less than a top brand, you want to rave about it;)

This seat fit perfectly on my handicapped height toilet. It’s very easy to install and everything you need is provided. I love how easy it is to clean the seat because the hinges release easily to thoroughly clean your toilet. If you’re looking for a good sturdy reasonably priced toilet seat look no further.

Not an exact match to the one I ordered 5 years ago. Slight irregularity in the cover finish with bolt poking through. Like everything else, worse than original.

Sturdy, attractive, and easy to clean. Overall, I’m very pleased with this toilet seat. This toilet seat was easy to install and fits my elongated toilet perfectly. The enameled wood finish is smooth, wipes clean easily, and the seat feels much more substantial than plastic alternatives. This is the 6th one I have purchased. Highly recommend.

Good quality. I didn’t read the fine print, these are not the soft close lids. They are standard sturdy type. They’ll probably last longer than the soft close. Perfect color match. Happy with purchase.

Good, solid toilet seat. I can’t abide the plastic toilet seats that bend and flex when you’re trying to get comfortable. This wood seat from Church gives you a secure perch in the “library”. The finish is smooth and even and looks like it should last forever. Installation was quick and easy, with solid bolts. There’s none of that adjustable seat nonsense, which just allows the seat to slide around. The quick clean feature is easy to use: all it takes is a quick twist on 2 latches to release the seat so it can lift off for cleaning. I would have liked the option of a slow close seat, but it wasn’t available in the elongated wood seat. The price was reasonable, for what I hope will be the last toilet seat I ever buy.

I bought this toilet seat to replace a Church toilet seat that came with my brand new house 12 years ago. The original Church seat started to become discolored and one of the hinges was almost cracked thru, but 12 years is great service for a seat that was used daily so I decided to stick to the same quality brand. The new seat itself looked identical to the one I was replacing, same great finish and thickness of wood material. The only difference is the new easy clean hinges as my old one had standard hinges. This does make it easier to clean the toilet especially the area around the hinges and the hinges themselves. As a couple other posters mentioned, make sure you read the installation instructions on the box if provided (mine did not come with any instructions as it may have been a contractor’s package). I know installation seems self-explanatory for those who have installed a seat before but you do not flip open the bolt covers on the hinges of the seat and install the bolts thru the hinges as you do on most seats. The bolts install first with the nuts, then you unlock the "covers" by turning them as far left as you can, press the seat over the grey bolts, then lock the covers in place by turning them right as far as they will go. The seat has only been in use for a month and I will post an addendum if I have issues. I was going to purchase another one of these seats on Amazon.com from the same seller for my second bathroom, but I noticed the seller is charging $20 more for the seat than when I purchased it the first time. I've looked and you can find this same seat at Home Depot for $26 and change. My guess is it has to do with the shipping as the seat came in a huge box when I ordered it and the shipping probably cost close to what the seat was selling for and I purchased it with free shipping.

I thought it would have a standard fitting but the bolts are too near each other for my Ariston loo. Nothing specified the distance between the bolts.

Semble correct au point de vue qualié, MAIS aucun jeu possible sur l'ecartement des charnieres (contrairement à la majorité des lunettes WC. Or le systeme de fixation par clipsage impose un parfait alignement. J'ai du bricoler une installation differente et du coup le resultat n'est pas excellent, en particulier sur le plan propreté et facilité de nettoyage Verifiez bien l'entraxe entre les trous de la cuvette.

Can't believe that I'm writing a review of a toilet seat. This product could have been made in the 1960's the quality is so high. Sturdy, strong and remarkably easy to install. I hope they're still around next time I need one. Five thumbs up!
