For those who have baked these. How are they used to add to frosting baked goods, do they need rehydrating?

I run them through a food processor until it’s basically a powder. Then I use a sifter to remove the seeds. It’s better to add dry ingredients so you aren’t adding extra liquid to your frosting. I recommend looking at the strawberry cake recipe on Sally’s Baking Addiction. She uses dehydrated strawberries in the frosting.

The only reason I'm not giving 5- stars is because of the price! Worth the money, but be aware you won't get very far with it. Needed these dried strawberries for a frosting recipe, and absolutely delicious. It does not create quite enough color in the frosting, but I would not sacrifice putting artificial ingredients, like red dye, in any recipe. Fantastic quality… Just a bit costly. I would purchase again, but hopefully get a better price!
