I received my cat clippers on Saturday and by today (Monday) ive dematted 5 cats. I probably used it for a good hour and a half two hours on Saturday and it never slowed down a bit. It truly did arrive fully charged. It IS actually significantly quieter than other clippers ive tried that say they are super quiet (but actually arent). It doesnt get hot like a lot of clippers tend to do after being on for a period of time, and it also didnt vibrate very hard on my hand which some do and start to kinda of numb the hand up some. I wasnt worried about cutting the cat even when i wasnt using a guard the tips of the clipper werent sharp to the touch or anything like some can be. A couple of the cats had some pretty bad mats, my friend thought she would for sure have to have them done by a vet because the cat isn't super friendly. However, with a little help settling the cat I was able to remove the super bad mat within 5 minutes which is insane. If you've ever dealt with cat mats and the long haired cat mats or even the short haired cat mats (they are sometimes even worse than long hair), then you know how long it can take to go through and break open the mat work it out cut some break it up again and repeat. With these clippers once I was able to get a foot hold under the mat with my clippers I was able to work my way across the base of the mat with ease and it was off in no time. Being a groomer and being a cat groomer especially isn't easy but these clippers made my neck, back, my life, and my cats and friends cats so much better and easier. So thankful I made the purchase! And the price on these is incredible! I dont know longevity of the product considering I just got it. It could be wonderful today and not turn on tomorrow for all I know haha. But I sure hope it lasts me a while because they are definitely a godsend! If your working with a bad to the skin mat, work without the guard. If your wanting to go back through and even things out I will say the guards work amazingly as well. I am a licensed cosmetologist and these clippers probably rival some of the best human grade clippers ive used! We received this about 20 minutes ago. We ordered it this morning after realizing SOMETHING had gotten caught in the very long fur at the back of our cat. Now, she is very timid and particular. So much so that she realizes when we move to a new case of wet food and refuses to eat it without coaxing. Forget about chasing her from behind with scissors. This clipper set was so gentle and quiet tho she paid it no mind as my wife fed her her favorite go-gurt shaped cat treat. The ceramic blades work in a way that feels much safer than if we were to try something like my beard trimmer but still cuts fur effectively. Luckily the clippers came fully charged. Thanks to the lack of a cord, I was able to chase her around waiting for the best opportunity where she would allow her backside to be trimmed. After such short usage, I can't speak to it's durability but it appears and feels well built. It also looks nice and sleek enough for a professional groomer. We could not be happier with the purchase. Our one accomplishment was worth the price which was already a bargain.

I have 3 beautiful long haired kitties. They of course start getting matted every few months. I’ve taken them for shaved-down lion cuts at the groomers, which they love during hot summer days. Where I live, cat grooming costs $85 plus tip. I can no longer afford that. I watched many ‘Girl With The Dogs’ cat grooming videos, and bought these clippers. Wow!!! I did it. It went so smoothly and my little ones were so cooperative and non stressed by these quiet clippers. It’s amazing! No nicks, none of the awful scenarios I imagined. They did such an excellent job on my cats. They look like I just got back from the groomers. The $30 I paid for these are an unbelievably good deal.

Best cat trimmer ive gotten. I have a persian cat and a himalayan with lots of fur and its been so helpful. Its Quiet and has a long battery life. Gets the job done swiftly. Lifesaver honestly

I thought that this would work faster than it does; it takes much more time with a badly matted persian cat than it seems to for other people. But, to be fair, I've been using it on a 18 year old feral cat that I've recently been able to bring in. He was so weak and sick that he couldn't really couldn't take care of himself anymore, so he's been in the house since a deep freeze. I've been slowly whittling away on him and have gotten all of the really bad mats. It's taken several weeks to do the work; mostly because it's so stressful for him. Some of it I had to go down to the skin to get; I didn't use any of the attachments for two reasons. One: they didn't allow me to get under the mat; two: the extra attachment made it noisy. Fortunately for me, this cat is pretty deaf and the unit is quiet without any attachment. It's nice that it's cordless and it's not very heavy. The charge last a good, long time. To be fair, I've never used any pet clippers before, so maybe my expectations were unrealistic. I've found that it's often easier to cut part of the mat (from the top) and just keep cutting gradually than to go for the whole thing from underneath. Overall, I recommend it. This is a must buy for at home grooming. I have a long haired cat with a very specific texture that is really hard to shave, this clipper works amazing. It cuts right through it no problem. There is no tugging or multiple passes needed. This is a 10/10

I have a 16 year old Maine Coon who had SEVERE matting and pelting. Her entire back was like one mass of matted fur. I did not want to take her to the vet or a groomer and yet I knew something had to be done. I carefully reviewed different clipper products,,watched videos on shaving techniques and talked to professionals in local stores. After researching several competitors I pulled the trigger on these and am I glad I did. Everything posted was true. The quiet motor did not startle her majesty and the clipping (done in two sessions) was far easier than I expected. Obeying video instructions I never forced the clippers, selected a good setting on the blade got near the skin and cut with the fur. For the most part, my cat was very patient with the process though she did balk in some sensitive areas. Taking my time these life. saving shears cut through massive growth freeing her Majesty "Sweet Pea" from about 3lbs. Of matted fur. I did not know better before but I will never let her get like that again. I cannot recommend this product enough. Long lasting power of professional might, numerous helpful accessories, a quiet, non-alarming motor and ease of use for z novice made what could have been a nightmare of vet or grooming bills into a confident experience of doing the job myself. I have no pictures to share but if you are facing the problem I was, look no further, these stupendous, professional shears are the answer!

This is the ONLY product to buy to remove matted cat hair. My cat wen out after it rained and when she returned home hours later, her entire under chest, arm pits, belly and the top of her hind legs were densely matted tight up against her skin from laying down in wet grass. Her long fur was completely matted and the only way it could be removed was by shaving. I have used Wahl Cat Hair shaver before and it is also every effective and equally as quiet as this one. Both have the same light humming sound which helps the cat to be less stressed while being shaved. I rate this one above the Wahl one because this one is cordless and while shaving the cat with a corded shaver, you always have to move the cord and the cat perceives it at something foreign coming at her. This shaver is much better ergonomically in the hand. The blade with is about 1 and 3/4 inches horizontally and thes was the perfect dimension. Critically, this shaver did remove all of the matt's. As other reviewers noted, my cat also relaxed during the shaving, so much so that while lying down on her side and slightly on her back, she actually raised and comfortably stretched out her front legs to enable me to shave the matt's under her arm pits. This was a totally uncharacteristic action on her part while shaving. She is usually tense and merely tolerant while shaving matt's. A few hints, shaving matt's is not something the cat can tolerate in one sitting. When she moves away to run to another room, etc., accept it and be done with it. This gives the cat an understanding that she is in control and not being forced or yelled at, etc. This freedom will bring her peace and hours later or the next day you can resume the shaving. In this case, with a densely matted coat, tightly against her skin, it took 3 sessions several hours apart. I could tell she wasn't as upset as she has been in the past when she usually tense and hides under the staircase or a bed. With this shaver she did run but instead ran to a a large package I had in the kitchen allowing me to see her and showing me she was grooming her fur with her tongue. in other words, this running away from the shaving process was like an automatic reflex for her but her behavior by keeping herself out in the open indicated to me, she didn't mind this new shaver. One reason the cats will need to run from shavers is that the blade does become hot so, it is a proper defense mechanism to run away. You need to let the blade cool down totally. Mats are dense and the machine is working hard so, do everything at the proper pace for the cat and the machine. Do NOT waste your money on the various wire or weirdly shaped metal mat removers. Those prices do NOT work at all. Put your money into this perfectly sized, corded electric shaver, which is totally effective at removing mats for less than $40. You will see that the money you spend in this is an investment and not a waste of money like the other products. I highly recommend this product to remove heavy, dense mats.

This proved to be one of my best Amazon purchases. Magnificent product. My cat which we saved from the outside has had these thick clogs of fur, hard patches that we couldn't get rid off. It was so easy with this product, you have full control with what you're doing, so there is no risk of injuring the animal if you go slowly. It cuts so well. The motor sound is soft and does not scare the cat. He stayed like a good boy patiently until I was finished and he is now rid of those thick, hard patches. I can't believe the efficiency of this product. The only downside is that the exterior of the product looks cheap so if you drop it it will probably shatter. However, think of it like this: In only one shave, it'll have paid for itself!

Just a quick update one year later with regular usage and still going strong!! No issues at all still charges well and everything works like new!! However I would suggest to leave the item on over night to ensure it’s good for a full grooming session poor cat has been have groomed for a day because I hadn’t lol!! Picture to show how handsome my boy is after a grooming session and doesn’t leave lines and looks professional!! Omgosh my cats hair can get so matty, it’s just heartbreaking!! We have done the groomers and tried so many clippers! He will get so upset as his hair is thick, long and can get matted even after we first brush him! No other clippers can make it that we can give him a lion cut and get down that far in his hair and he isn’t upset!! We’ve spent so much $ on clippers and groomers!! NOW we FINALLY have the BEST ones and our kitty is so genuinely happy to be mat free and in his little lion cut that we can actually do for him properly and ourselves!!! Amazing price and work so well!!! Trust me we’ve tried so many clippers these are the BEST ones for a cat especially if you deal with long hair, thick and mats easily!!
