Bought the holder to use to be able to easily do any temporarily transfer our NY E-ZPass tags to rental or other cars. After looking over the Amazon tag holders listings, found too many that seem excessively expensive for this kind of item, or many reviewers thought designed poorly or cheaply. Various reviews found some of the holder windshield suction cups had poor holding over time, either in hot weather/climates or just did not provide consistent hold otherwise. Others seem to be made of unsuitable plastic that deformed so badly in hot weather/climates becoming un-usable in a relatively short time. The reviews for this product did not seem to have complains about the plastic temperatures problems, but had there the usual non-trivial number of complaints about the suction cups just like every holder I looked at. Cleaned the windshield with isppropanol, and applied a small amount of water to my holder suction cups, then installed the holder with tag in my car. To prevent tag rattling because the holder is a bit larger than the thickness of the NY E-ZPass tag, stuffed a piece of foam into the holder slot over the tag, and that did the trick. After about 2 mo. from last week Aug to last week Oct, hasn't been any problems with the holder retention on the windshield. Admittedly I live in a Phila. suburbs (not southern US), and the car is driven only a few times a week when not garaged. The tag holder has not been subjected to constant extreme hot sunlight, and has not been in place for many months as of yet, so others' experiences may differ. 82/20 Update: This holder has been on one of my car's windshield since last week Aug 2019, about 11months, has not been taken off for any reason, nor has fallen off at any time. As mentioned above, we live in the Phila. suburbs, the car is normally garaged, and driven only about 6000-7000 miles/year. So, at least for the item I got and the conditions it lives in, it has worked well for us.

Product was well packaged, seems to be sturdy, and will last a life time when mounted to a windshield. I bought two and mounted one to my vehicle and one to my motorcycle. I have a standard EZ pass which fit nicely, however the slot is rather wide for my particular EZ pass, there is a cut out slot in the front for the EZ pass to fit securely. I've had no issues with suction or the EZ pass dropping while driving. I have not tested the motorcycle with vibration, it does seem to be sticking nicely. Overall good product if you don't want to gum up your windshield from adhesives.

I purchased this to replace one whose suction cups had ceased to function. While the old style may fit inside this holder, it is basically twice the size of the old transponder, and mine rattled around in there. I can't tell you how annoying that is. My solution was to just move the suction cups from the new to the old. Buyer beware: the old transponder definitely fits, because anything that's half the size of the holder will fit in here.
