Carbon Fiber Kayak Paddle, 2-Piece, Lightweight Design

Just what I was looking for, nice and light. All the reviews have talked really bad about how they received their product. This one was in perfect shape.

Ok, these are really light. When the shafts are snapped together they lock tight. Blade flex is very minimal although there is some twist flex to the paddle blades but it’s minimal. Unfortunately one of the paddle blades wasn’t securely attached to the shaft. Amazon quickly issued a replacement which should be here tomorrow. Update: replacement paddle showed up in perfect condition. Paddle blades are tightly secured to the CF shafts. All is good now. Appreciate the quick resolution from Amazon.

I bought a pair of these for my wife and I. I ordered the paddle length according to their chart which is based on the kayak's width and your height. I'm sure it works in general, but it did not in our case. I'm 6'-3" and she's 5'-0" and thus I ordered her a shorter paddle. It was clear on our very first trip that hers was too short. We swapped paddles and she was much happier with mine so I returned hers and we now have two alike expect the colors. Once we had the correct length, we love these paddles. They can be clocked for a different attack angle, and also for a RH or LH paddler. The carbon-fiber shaft is light weight which is the name of the games with a paddle. They have lots of color choices too, which is a nice touch.

I ordered this paddle and a $39.99 premium Aluminum paddle at the same time. When I put both on a gram scale this one comes in aroung 920g (about 2 pounds) and the Aluminum paddle was just over 1100 grams (about 2.5 pounds). It is lighter but it is not a 50% weight reduction. If you hold both in your had it feels lighter but not a ton lighter. In the water this paddle was clearly better. While both paddles had very similar black nylon tips and both paddles break down into two pieces this paddle feels like it is all one piece when I paddle. When paddling with the aluminum paddle their is stress on the joint, it feels like two separate pieces as when force is applied to the paddle there is a small amount of wobble in the joint. I am not a professional kayaker and cannot justify spending $200.00 to $300.00 on a top of the line Cabon Fiber paddle. I carefully inspected the inside and outside of the paddle to see if this was just a sticker on top of an aluminum pole as one reviewer suggested. That is certainly not the case. I suspect that one star review is a fake negative review. I am impressed with this paddle. In my opinion it was worth the extra $50 to $60 above the price of an aluminum paddle. I plan to buy another one of these for family outings.

Great paddle at a fair price.

Very sturdy and lightweight. I had the standard paddle from Dick’s with the intro kayak. When I upgraded my kayak and loved being able to match my color with the paddle and so much lighter.

This paddle is awsome and so light. It makes a hugh difference to my old one. Worth every penny! Would defiantly recommend for an inflatable kayak 🛶🛶

For the money this paddle is hard to beat. I did a fair amount of research before deciding on this particular paddle for my fishing kayak. Very happy with my purchase and happy to recommend to anyone wanting a very good paddle at a very reasonable price

Fantastic price for a great paddle!!!! Love it! So light. Makes for a very enjoyable trip. We use them with our 14’ ocean kayaks with rudders and it’s a great ride.
