Would I be able to use the FX with regular vinyl (without rekordbox or a computer)?

This mixer is stand alone, meaning you don't need to use Rekordbox (computer) to use it at it's full potential unless you're using DVS, which the mixer comes pack with two keys, one for Rekordbox 5 and the other to unlock DVS. The color FX works with only channel one and two, while the beat effects works for master, channel 1/2, aux, and mic. So in short, Yes. It will work with regular vinyl and CDJs, whatever you plug into the RCA port to the receptive channels will work.

Is it compatible with serato dj software?

I guess it is full compatible through MIDI mapping but has not got a native interaction. I will check MIDI mapping with Serato DJ within these days.

Good bang for your buck

I’m used to playing on my brothers 900 nexus, and fell in love with the fx, so opted for the 450. Its pretty much a 2-channel 900 Nexus with far fewer outputs. One review rags on the outputs, as it’s not “Pro” Who uses a 2-channel mixer in a “Pro” setting? Get real. It’s a quality little mixer with excellent fx, and high quality sound for the price. Obviously a $2000 pioneer or A&H will sound better, but negligibly so.

Dumbest Pioneer product ever?

It seems like a two-channel 900, right? Perfect for small clubs. But there are no monitors out - unless you count some RCA master out. This make the product completely useless for any professional application. We barely had it out if the package before we were putting it back in.
