Easy to use. Removable handle and easy to store. Bought it for our ooni oven. Works perfectly. Just ordered a second one to keep the pizza assembly line moving!

This is the second peel I bought. The first (different brand) had a shortish plastic handle with two screws. I liked it a little better - the aluminum was a bit thicker and the screws seemed a bit more solid, but OTOH the handle did not collapse. I gave that to a friend for a pizza party he was hosting and had to buy a second one, liked the looks of this one - by OUII. The firm wooden handle has a slight groove in the wood that lines up with the edge of the peel to lock it in place and prevent it from rotating during use. The nut unscrews easily without tools when you're ready to allow the handle to rotate for storage. The 12 by 14 inch surface is plenty big for any pizza I'm likely to make. I think it's great for loading and unloading, probably less ideal for rotating the pies while cooking if you need to do that. One suggestion would be a thin washer between the nut and peel, but not important. To help the pies not to stick when in use, I sprinkle coase-ground corn meal (not flour). Helps the flavor too. I saw someone dishwash the aluminum blade/peel. Not recommended - This isn't waterproofed with a chemical coating so that will cause discoloration ( oxidization ) of the aluminum. However, the discoloration isn't actual damage to the peel. Preferable to handwash to keep it looking nicer, though.

The handle is very small and more annoyingly, the dough always stick to it, regardless of the amount of flour used.

Purchased this aluminum pizza peel for my Ooni Koda 12 home pizza oven and it works great. The knob is easy to loosen for turning the handle inwards for storage, and it's also an twist-off for cleaning. The aluminum is nice and thin enough for getting a cooked pizza out of the oven. I ended up using this to launch the pizza into the oven as well, with plenty of flour underneath the dough, and that worked surprisingly well. NYT Wirecutter recommends getting both a wood and aluminum pizza peel (they recommended much more expensive brand, which doesn't make sense to me when a peel is practically commoditized--and I'm grateful for solid choices like this one on Amazon). For being a newbie to home pizza cooking, I was worried the handle wouldn't be long enough to keep me safe from the heat, but in fact it is the right length. I learned that I don't want too long of a handle because not only does it get unwieldy, but also I lose leverage with too much length. I also appreciate that I can hang this peel on a hook on my pizza cart. This particular item was perfect for my home pizza making needs. I look forward to using it for years to come.

We purchased this pizza peel to use with our Ooni pizza oven, it fits perfect. The peel works great - nothing sticks to it, it cleans very nicely and the handle comes off making it easy to store.
