Beware the cooking tray easily falls out when hot, even when inserted properly (arrows matching). Despite that issue, still a 5 star product so long as you are aware of the issue since the answer is simple: don’t tip things out of it. Otherwise, it’s a nice compact size and it’s extremely quiet! We can barely tell when it’s running, especially while other things are cooking on the stove, etc. I love the “light” so you can keep an eye on the food while it’s cooking. It’s also dead simple to use and doesn’t have any presets that I never use anyways. The odor eraser is “okay”. However, I’ve never owned any other air fryer that attempted to make this claim so can’t easily benchmark it against others. Compared to our last air fryer, it makes a noticeable difference, but I wouldn’t buy it expecting to never smell what’s cooking. Preheats quickly and seems to cook efficiently as food is always cooked based on the minimum time on the package so long as you don’t overcrowd it. I seem to get the crispiest results when whatever I’m cooking is fully in contact with the cooking tray. Therefore, I doubt the claim of cooking “2lbs of fries”, at least to a desirable texture. I admit I could be doing it wrong but I tried a bag of fries once and while cooked through, they were really limp and soggy. However, this was all true of my last air fryer as well so didn’t take off any stars. Definitely well worth the money and a great choice so long as you know the cooking tray will fall out if you try and tip it past 90° (especially while it’s hot) and that the odor eraser makes a noticeable difference, but it’s not magic, the smells will still linger but with less intensity.

I fully recognize I am about 20 years behind the air fryer eight ball! It seems as if everyone has an air fryer, and recipes are all over YouTube. Finally after persistent encouragement, I bit the bullet and ordered one. Of course as always, I read multiple reviews, watched YouTube videos, and sifted through all sorts of rankings on the Internet. Just trying it on for size, I did not want to spend a huge amount of money. This Instant Vortex 6 quart was on sale at a terrific price so with great reviews, it became the chosen one. It arrived on time, but admittedly the wait seemed long because once the decision was made, we wanted it now! The packaging was superb with no part of the appliance being damaged. After reading the accompanying information, she was finally plugged in, heated up, and ready for duty. Off we go! First experiment (you guessed it) was French fries...absolutely delicious...coming out crispy on the outside and nice and "potatoey" creamy on the inside. Looking back, I think we went through a 10 lb bag of potatoes that afternoon! Next came hamburgers, but the consensus was, "They were OK, but you can't really beat the grill." Number 3 on the menu was chicken tenders seasoned, floured, dredged in egg, floured again and into the air fryer...YUMMY! Again crispy on the outside but really moist and juicy on the inside. Without consulting the experts, shrimp were sprayed with avocado oil and even though delicious, we cooked them a bit too long (our fault not the fryer's). Itching to try something a little different, beef jerky made from flank stead won at number 4; all reported it was "fantastic." Each of these foods was placed directly on the tray and put into the air fryer. No parchment, pans, foil, or silicone baskets were used at all. The next question that arose was, "So what about eggs?" Let's just say the jury is still out as far as perfecting the time and temperature. But the taste, well it tastes just like a fried egg. We did learn that aluminum foil is better than the silicone basket for eggs. This air fryer is stainless steel, solidly and masterfully constructed, has 6 functions, and is one awesomely fabulous appliance! Once positioned it is stable sitting squarely on the counter top with a basket that pulls out to the front sporting a short but adequate cord. It is extremely user friendly and simple to operate. Preheating happens quickly with final heat ranging from 95 degrees to a maximum of 400 degree set with just a rotation of the dial; there is also built in shut off capability for safety and peace of mind. Clean up is very basic and simple; it is accomplished with a squirt of dish soap, hot water, swishing , rubbing with a cloth, rinsing and drying. No scrubbing or scraping needed. Because of the size and capabilities this air fryer would be a great asset in a small apartment kitchen, a first apartment, an RV, a tiny home, and even a “glamping” campsite. In our home it is rapidly becoming an indispensable kitchen appliance. I unequivocally recommend this air fryer. This is a very good Air Fryer and had great reviews on Consumer Reports. It works very well and cooks the food very well. It is super easy to use as the controls are very easy to understand. Nice size, doesn’t take up much counter space. Very easy to clean the drawer and appears to be a good non-stick coating.

This is a fantastic air fryer! No greasy vapors with filter. I wasn't interested in an air fryer after seeing greasy residue above a family members. No vapor with this model. Fantastic option. If you have more than two to cook for I recommend the double. I was SO excited to make fantastic roast potatoes in half the time. My handle was damaged in shipping! I wasn't repairing it for what this air fryer cost me! I was grateful I could return it. One piece of handle popped off then I saw the stainless would not hold in place as a result. Extremely disappointed! I made perfect roasted potatoes and chicken on a kabob. I was immediately hooked on this product. Cut my cooking time for two in half. Chicken was moist, potatoes roasted perfectly. I am very proficient at a regular oven. With extremely warm temperatures outside this kept my kitchen cool. I am on the hunt for my replacement. This product needs to be double boxed during shipping!!! The box carry opening option on this product is why my air fryer was damaged in shipping. If this product was boxed in a regular shipping box it could have been avoided. A replacement option wasn't available. I will buy another. This is a perfect product for places that have warm temperatures most of the year.

I don't know how I ever did life before air fryers! We use them so much, this is our third! I thought I was going to hit the jackpot with this one based solely off the brand. While I do like it and don't feel "stuck with it", there are a few things I think they could improve upon. Things I like: 1. Time and Temp are easy to control/change, even mid cycle. 2. LOVE the window and light!! Being able to see in without having to stop, open and restart is great! (especially because of #3 on my list of things I wish were different) 3. Very easy to clean. 4. Clean, sleek design. Also love the square shape vs. traditional round fryers. Wastes less counter space. 5. Very quiet. Some might think the signal when the cook time has ended is too quiet. Things I wish were different: 1. Even though the square shape allows it to waste less counter space, it does have a rather large footprint. I wish it was just a little smaller without compromising cooking capacity. 2. I really wish it were stainless steel inside. Why, in 2024, are we still pumping ourselves full of forever chemicals with non-stick cookware?!? I've mitigated this (as much as possible) by purchasing stainless steel basket inserts. They fit and work great, but still would prefer not to cook my food in a non-stick oven. 3. I wish there were an option to skip the pre-heat function, mainly because once your pre-set cook time is up, and if your food is not fully cooked, you have to go through the pre-heat cycle all over again in order to continue cooking. Is it terribly long? No. Unnecessary? Very. Overall, it's a great air fryer so far. I've been using it regularly for 3 months now and haven't had any functional issues.

PRO: See thru window is a plus; really crispy foods with air frying; quick, quiet and great for a couple or smaller eaters up to 4 people. CON: can be very dangerous! Bake cycle when making something loose like macaroni & cheese. No lifts for pan to place in or retrieve! You set the oven temp and the time bake and it preheats!!! Now it is hot! How do you slip in the baking pan without scorching knuckles! I had to take the whole basket out to cool it - No way to retrieve. Now off to find a lift of some sort! CON: no directions in package. Waste of time to find out essentials not obvious. If making fries, nuggets, etc simple to figure out on your own…but other things like the bake cycle would be nice to know what essentials you need to buy or they should include like LIFTING HANDLES. Would be nice to include a circular about sizes of pans you need, etc and what to buy!!! Spend hours researching on your own! Ridiculous. For older people or younger people this can be dangerous. Thank GOLLY for AMAZON who delivers quick! This would be fun instead of aggravating! I can only review baking and frying because haven’t used the other settings. Their Web leaves a lot to be desired. For selling, simple. Made out like recipes were available but they didn’t say for all their sizes all mixed up for all the appliances they sell! I gave up and bought a book for two cooking with air fryers! First AirFryer for us to own so maybe for the rest of you out there in the quick cooking world you do not have the issues we just had. UPDATE: BOUGHT NECESSARY ITEMS TO BE ABLE TO USE THIS…and since have found many videos on YouTube and really enjoying this item. So changed from 4 stars to 5 stars. Like so many appliances today you have to download complete manuals. Thats just the way of life. So really happy with this little cooker. Do you need it? Probably not! But it sure cooks fast and you get excellent results when you understand what to do and there is lots of information out there. So just read! Made beautiful wedge potatoes last night with a chicken that usually we would grill and used the AirFryer feature and both were excellent. Now looking for another great dinner for tonight that is really quick. The preheat is so quick, not sure it is necessary at all. The CON that I find now is the tray that fits in basket will dump with the food, so watch out! If you know this, you can use a hot mitt to catch it! Laughing. So just pay attention.

Buy this air fryer if you want a decent machine with a horrible design flaw: the switch that lets the machine know the basket drawer is closed will fail after about 1-2 years of light usage and will involve a complicated repair or replacing the machine with a brand that doesn't have planned obsolescence baked in from the moment you close the basket the first time. I would estimate that the switch on my unit failed after approximately 150 uses (open and close the basket being one use) before the switch completely failed and no longer allows the unit to function due to it thinks the basket is missing even when it's fully seated. The basket drawer switch design is 100% plastic and simply wears down enough so that it will not fully depress the pin it supposed to engage/depress when the basket closes. I will say it was a decent air fryer until I had to throw it in trash. Now it's in some landfill with all the other chinese made crap that didn't last. Needless to say I will never buy another Instant Pot Vortex product again: fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Buy at your own risk, you've been warned.

So far so good, I have not had it long but it sure is great not to turn an oven on in the summer!! 🥵 No more messy oven or stove top either!!👍🏼 i have made chicken tenders breaded, lightly spray with some avocado oil or any high heat oil. Rotisserie from stores are never cooked enough, crisp up the skin to a golden brown!! Burgers are great. I love this air fryer, easy to clean, dont use scrubbing items. I use this all the time now.🥰🫶🏼

Love this model. The window in the front is very helpful. It super easy to use and does a great job with a variety of foods that we have tried. This is the second one I have purchased and have given it as a gift to my brother who is really enjoying it.

Best air fryer ever, it's not quiet, but when it comes to even predictable cooking this fryer can't be beat. Not too mention it is quality built unlike many others that are so cheap. If your looking for a long lasting air fryer, that will last for years, this is the one to get.

Optimista el cocinar sin lugar a duda. De freír durante media hora o mas grandes tandas a solo unos 5 minutos es genial. Solo que limpiar se me hace algo engorroso. Y el recibo de la luz incrementó notablemente.
