Ion Color Defense After Color Sealer 6 oz

I’m no home hair color pro, but this sure seals my deep auburn locks with a smooth, shiny finish. Although my color still fades, this product extends the rich color longer than other products I’ve used. I’d recommend delaying the rinse for a few minutes to maximize the benefits of this great product.

This stuff works great even with Arctic Fox hair dyes (the vegan dyes) and my color lasted nearly an extra week longer than expected. I highly recommend this sealer!! Smells light and kinda good actually, no weird texture post-shower or anything.

Not quite as good as the tiny tubes that come in hair dye kits sadly but still is moisturizing

This product is a game changer for me. I'm the over 50 woman who can afford to finally not care what anyone thinks and look however I want and my new goal in life is to match my peacocks. Yes, you read that right. My hair is turquoise and purple and seafoam green and a little bit blue. I pay someone to lift the color on the roots so it is a pretty rainbow of hair art, I go to a lot of effort to keep it clean, cared for and not to have to wash it very often because...semipermanent color. I used to really battle with the limited washings but this product seals in the color so well that I can now wash my hair (it's not oily) a few times between colorings and it never loses its brilliance. It's a fantastic conditioner so I'm no longer fighting dryness in the longer parts (it's getting past my shoulders). I get a lot of compliments on my fun and crazy hair and if it works this well on these colors I can only imagine how well it will seal in more 'ordinary' shades. I've always loved ion products and this one is no exception. The only tip is, when working it in, don't be afraid to duck your head into the water for more moisture when working it into a lather to spread it out all through your hair. It can be a little challenging to get it to 'foam up' at first but it will get there with enough added water; obviously longer hair requires more product. With my hair just past my shoulders I'm using about a ping pong ball amount of product right now....still that's for me quite a few months of use for one tube since I don't need to wash my hair that often.

This seemed to extend the life of my vivid color! In addition to only washing with cold water about 2 times a week, with using this, I only had to retouch my color every two weeks instead of every week. Helps me save on color. I really like this product!

This product works. I dyed my hair black and it’s been 2 weeks and my hair is still very black. I recommend 100%.

While it was a little odd the bottle was shipped all taped up, the actual product smells nice and actually works! It's been 2 weeks since going fire truck red and it has barely faded at all, if any! Last time I was already starting to verge on dark pink at this point. Will be buying again.

Nope, doesn't seal any colour, used it after my hair color, still bleeds as it usual does. Waste of money

This is such a nice tool to have in your coloring arsenal. I use semi permanents all the time, and this really helps lock the color in. Love it.
