Got this to improve comfort of a nectar mattress. I like the nectar being firm for back support, but find its overall too firm causing pressure on my sciatic nerves at my hips causing quite a bit of discomfort at times. Decided to try this topper to add some cushioning to conform better to the natural body curves. It came fairly well compressed but popped open nicely after carefully removing the plastic sleeve. I found no plastic odors. Let it rest uncovered to air out anyway. Used it last night and found it to be a close to a perfect improvement. 4 out of 5 stars level. Comfortable enough that I fell asleep quickly. Offers just enough support and pressure relief. Could be a tad more firm but it’s splitting hairs on exactly the right amount of padding firmness to satisfy the majority of users. My only issue is that good comfort allows me to sleep too well at times without moving enough and when I don’t move enough, my back does not wake me until it’s been static for too long and the nerve is aggravated at that point, typically my right side. Anyway, it’s an improvement. Time will tell how well it holds up. The full size overlays the full mattress well so easy to install by using same fitted sheets as always.

It felt fine in the store, but when it arrived, it felt like a slab of concrete. I was shocked at how hard it was. Looking back, I should have complained and gotten a different one. But, we kept it (pandemic times). For the past 5 years, we have been suffering aches and pains and discomfort. We tried a latex mattress topper a few years ago, but it didn't work well. Recently, the aches and pains became unbearable enough that we wanted to try a different topper. So, with bated breath, I ordered this one (2", blue). After taking it out of the package, we let it decompress for a few hours. My immediate impression was that it was going to add a lot of comfort to our sleeping experience, but I wanted to wait a few nights to see how it went. The first night was a huge success: the two inches of gel foam cushioned hips and shoulders well, but without the deep sinking feeling that can happen with memory foam. Two inches seemed to be perfect: we could still feel the support of the firm mattress, but the foam layer provided enough cushion that it wasn't like sleeping on the ground anymore. Essentially, it gave us the mattress that we originally thought we were getting. It's been a week and we're still thrilled with it. We have not experienced any shifting, but we did put a mattress cover on top of the pad and that seems to keep it in place well. I haven't noticed any cooling qualities, but it's December in the PNW and we have our bed made up with flannel sheets and a heavy comforter, so all I can say is that it is cozy and comfortable. Bought this mattress topper for our guest bedroom. Since we only have the bed for guests we never really cared about how comfy the mattress was in the room. That all changed when I came down with the flu and quarantined myself in the guest bedroom hoping my husband wouldn't catch the germs. It was a rough night sleeping on the cheap mattress we have in that bedroom. The next morning I woke up determined to find a solution without having to invest in a whole new mattress for that room. I read some great reviews on this brand of mattress topper and decided to try it out, worst case scenario we would be out $40. It arrived in the mail in a vacuum sealed package. The instructions said to open, lay the topper out and it would take up to 24 hours for it to open up to its full size. I noticed within 30 minutes it went from being flat as a pancake, to thick and full. I waited until that night to sleep on it, so it was maybe out of the package for 8 hours, 10 max. It made such a HUGE difference. It felt like I was sleeping on a new, good quality, mattress. I spent two additional nights sleeping on it until I was no longer sick, and ready to go back to my own bed. Unfortunately my husband ended up getting sick despite my best efforts. He spent a couple nights in the guest bedroom so his coughing and sniffling wouldn't keep me up and he noticed how much more comfortable the mattress is now that we have the memory foam topper. I hope it continues to hold up its quality, if in a couple months I notice it isn't doing a good job anymore I will update my review. Keep in mind that after somebody has been sitting or laying in the bed it will take a little while for the memory foam to retake its original form. It won't pop back up to two inches immediately, so don't expect it to. Other then that, it was worth the small price it cost to make a bed more comfortable to sleep on, so it's worth the investment.

I feel like Goldilocks. I've tried toppers that are paper thin and offer nothing, I've tried toppers that were too soft and caused misalignment as I sank into them, and now finally I've found a topper that's just right. Absolutely perfect for cushioning my firm mattress without making me feel unsupported. I was a little doubtful at first as the material felt a bit rough compared to others I've tried, but the results speak for themselves! I'm finally getting a good night's sleep. I do wish this had some way to affix it to the mattress, as it tends to slide around. I understand why it's sold this way though. The only way to know you're getting what you paid for is to be able to see it, and you can't see it if it's trapped inside a case. Quick tip: If your pain is in your LOWER back, there is no topper in the world that can save you. Your mattress is not supportive enough and nothing you throw on top of it will help. If your pain is in your RIBS, but not in your back, check to make sure your mattress is on a totally flat surface before investing in a topper. If your pain is in your UPPER back or upper body in general, that's when a topper like this will save the day!

I bought the 2" full size classic topper. After letting it expand on my bed, I was ready to put my bedding on when i noticed some small tears. I started a return through amazon a d amazon said it needed to be brought back in manufacturers original box. It came compressed wich is done at the factory and there was no way for me to compress so no way to get it in the box to return. So, im stuck with defective topper and im sure the tears will get worse. Other than that, the topper is ok.

I looked up reviews on Amazon us website before I purchased this and it was highly rated. I was sceptical because of the low price but this is amazing! It came out of the box quite flat but then puffed up quickly. I did leave it uncovered for a few hours to air out as it did have a slight smell. It turns my super hard futon into a comfy bed! Highly recommend!
