Troino's Gourmet Hot Stuffed Cherry Peppers with Prosciutto & Provolone, 12 Ounce

I was skeptical after reading some of the negative reviews, but after trying them, I decided to write a review (something I rarely do). First, I purchased two jars in February. Neither were damaged or leaking. Second, the expiration date is December 2022. Plenty of time to enjoy the peppers. Third, I want to address the quality and taste. They are packed in an oil and vinegar brine. While they appear slightly oily, the vinegar gives them the tang that you want. The peppers are large and while there may be more Provolone than Prosciutto, there is plenty of both and they are stuffed as much as possible. All ingredients, including the peppers taste fresh. The peppers are crisp, the cheese is hard and the prosciutto is meaty. Nothing is mushy. The peppers are hotter than their sweet sister equivalent, but not as hot as a jalapeno. They are every bit as good as any I have made in the past. I highly recommend them.

They,re a little high priced but worth it based on the stuffing. They're in a delicious marinade. This was my 2nd purchase in a 2 week period. The 12 oz is perfect because once you open them. Just based on the filling, they should be eaten fairly quickly for maximum flavor. After all, they are filled with meat too. I know they also sell a 24oz. Jar. $25.00, i think. Mange'

Not a good buy. Peppers have no heat. They taste like sweet peppers not hot peppers. On top of that you only get 5 peppers in the jar. Very high price and low quality. Not happy at all.

I got a fresh batch. They were crunchy and hot. Yes hot! The cheese was a little soft but was great. There was a lot of cheese but it tasted great& helped with the “hot”. Would def buy again! A bit expensive but comparable to others.

I want to be VERY clear when I say, I've never had anything like this before. So please take this into account. Literal neutral party. That being said. The flavor of the pepper itself and the stuffed cheese, I'm cool with. Heat, not really spicy to me. What I was not expecting was a big layer of nothing but oil. Threw me off. It was difficult for me to taste the pepper through the oil, because all I could focus on was the oil. It was my first time trying this. So please don't bash me for it. Maybe it's supposed to taste like that. If so, its not my cup of tea. I like this oil on bread. Not so much on my peppers.

I'm Italian and unfortunately moved to where Italian food is scarse. I miss my little markets and these peppers are so good. I couldnt find them anywhere near me so I was thrilled to get me delivery and these do not dissappoint! They are fresh and crispy and delicious! A bit expensive but when I cant find them anywhere near me....its worth it to satisfy my craving.

I've always loved those pepper shooters (that's what some restaurants and speciality food stores call them) but they're often hard to find, and can be rather laborious to make. Finally, I can order it on Amazon -- very convenient, and it tastes very much like these pepper shooters. I do have a couple of little gripes ... A) it's a bit pricey but I suppose that's cuz the price includes the shipping cost, and B) I wish they come in a bigger jar so I don't run out so quickly. :-)
