Can this model make soup?

It doesn’t heat if that’s what you’re asking, but I was told by a Vitamix rep that at 37k RPMs, it will boil water. It can blend anything you give it.

What is the pitcher size? And is this the entire set or just the motor and housing?

The pitcher hold a max of 32 oz of unblended product. The pitcher is bigger than that, but they instruct only filling to the 32 oz mark. It is the entire set.
