INTEX POOL OWNER
CuLator Power Packs are a GODSEND! Please read!!!! High Iron content in our township water. I found this product in 2014 after going through hell with our water. We owned a Summer Escapes 12ร36 metal framed with skimmer basket. (Intex knock off, in my opinion better than intex) Please believe me when I tell you that I was so skeptical back in 2014. After emptying the pool twice, fighting with the different chemical remedies and the water. I was on my third try getting ready to empty it again. I went to my local pool store(who became quite familiar with me) said "here we just got these, they're fairly new but our customers have had great results, give it a shot" I'm sure I looked at him like "yeah ok this little white pillow is gonna work? Riiight" well it surely did!!! I will never EVER use anything else. I only use my Omni chlorine tabs, Omni shock(depending on how much the kids are in it) and my power pack! Thats it! No more other chemicals or money wasted nothing! Anyway this year our liner was taken on accident, we believe, because my hubby left it out front and someone probably thought it was trash. So a family member got us a new one and this one is a "real" intex pool. Its a 12ร30. However it has no skimmer basket, the filter it came with has no inner screen for chlorine tablets, etc. Its so much different than what I was used too. I was also so upset thinking I wasn't going to be able to use my beloved 1.0mm power pack. So I called the company and spoke with David, who I also called back in 2014. And as always, he was so very kind and so very helpful. He said to try 2 different things ยทput pack into pump let it float around the filter. Since the filter is hollow with no screen for chlorine tabs I couldn't put it in the middle ยทtie pack to one of the intakes(I have two) and let it stay in front of the intake. If neither of those worked he said call him back and he would help me try to figure out something else. I have to say that all the negative reviews on this product are by people who aren't using this product properly or understanding it. Or they have a much more involved problem such as bonding or iron bacteria, etc. I would bet all my money that all of those negative reviewers didn't even call the company for help, advice or anything. Because if you call this company, they will do their very best to help you in any way they can!! They will ask you to send pictures, ask about your pools history, how it was built, I mean they will ask EVERYTHING. They truly do care and want to help and get to the bottom of any issues that any customer may have. I know they will do all this and more because I have experienced it!! And while yes, this is a miracle product and worked over night for me, please keep in mind I own a 1800 gallon size pool. So make sure you're getting the right pack for your pool or hot tub. They have 3, 1.0ppm, 1.5ppm, or 4.0ppm. Make sure you have the water is tested properly (for more than just ph levels) test for all metals, bacteria, etc. Which this company, Period Products, will also help you do. All pool owners know its a trial and error process when it comes to getting stuff under control. It can take up to a month before you start seeing results in a normal sized pool. I was and still am a faithful Omni product user but sadly their "Stain and Scale control and prevention" would work, but only for a few days and the brownish/greenish color would come right back. I found out that it was only putting a molecule around the metals instead of eliminating it. Also for those with Intex or similar pools, depending on the pump, you can buy generic brand, type c filters(Wal-Mart, target, dollar stores) that do have the screen for chlorine tabs and you can place the power pack in there. If the pack puffs up, which does happen occasionally because of air, take it out and tie it from the pool so it hangs in front of one of the intakes. The suction will keep it against the intake while also allowing water to pass as well. If you are not seeing results that you feel you should be seeing PLEASE call the company, CuLator, first before posting such negative crap. If you know the cause behind your issues is metal related, then yes, I totally recommend this product!!! Kasey Raduszewski Pennsville NJ

Confirmed by tests to work exactly as advertised
This product works. I don't usually write reviews, but I think that it is important to dispel doubts. For those skeptics out there, I felt the exact same way before I ordered and even more so when the product arrived. How is this small fabric pouch supposed to do what they say? I was convinced this was pseudo science. However, I happen to test the copper levels in my pool regularly with multiple test kits, so I knew precisely what my copper levels were. Due to a mishap, the level in the pool was over 1 ppm, which was starting to cause green staining in the pool (these stains would later be effectively removed using ascorbic acid). I needed to get the level below 0.2 ppm, which still prevents algae with little risk of staining. My pool is 12,000 gallons. This product states that it can remove 1 ppm from 10,000 gallons of water. After one day, I didn't notice any change. After three days, testing revealed that my copper level had dropped to 0.5 ppm. After seven days, the level was down to 0.2. It was that simple. I cut the bag open, and lo and behold the material had turned blue, which is exactly what you expect it to do after absorbing copper. I highly recommend this product. Very little else will have any effect on your metal levels and draining the pool is not ideal. I suppose there is some bizarre chance the copper disappeared through some other means and this was just a wild coincidence, but the rational explanation is that this works as intended.

Hasnโt worked at all yet
Been in for 3 days in the skimmer and it hasnโt done a thing. If anything the water is worse. I mean how many days does it take to make a difference. I have high iron in my water. I havenโt chlorinated on purpose to see if this would work or not. And honestly it just floats in the skimmer, doesnโt appear to be filtering anything. So Iโm disappointed. This picture is after being in for a full 72 hours. Second pic is before CUlater. Soโฆ

Works well for us
Weโre not sure why so many people are having a bad experience with this product. We are on a well with high metal content. We get instant โGatorade greenโ water when we chlorinate our above ground pool from the metal reacting with the chlorine. These โmetal ballsโ turn our pool crystal clear within one day of putting them in our skimmerโฆthis will be the 4th year weโre using them.

Actually removes metal from water
Since I bought my first home with a pool a number of years back, I have strived to find the easiest, lowest-chemical way to keep the water crystal clear and fully balanced. Three products make my life easy. When I filled my new pool, I added this product Culator to my pump basket for a few days to remove (not sequester but actually remove) all metals from the water. Then I pop it out and add PoolRX to my skimmer basket which sanitizes my pool and 100% prevents any and all algae using chelated (non-staining) minerals such as copper, zinc, and silver. Buy the real stuff on Amazon and not the knockoff that looks just like PoolRX. Then I added a Poolsmith CO2 unit to control PH without muriatic acid (I have a pebble pool). Voila. Easy peasy. Water is perfect as is the surface of my pool. Back to the Culator, metal stain prevention agents only sequester metals to prevent them from staining but poor water chemistry and even shocking the pool can cause those metals to fall out of sequestration and stain. Culator removes the minerals altogether. When I drain about 1/4 of my pool once a year, I add Culator again and let it do its thing for a few days as well.

Reliable application instructions
I tried looking up additional information on this and found my questions went unanswered. For the most part I don't know if the one I purchased was the correct one for my issue but it did help somewhat. Needed more basic info on how long to leave it in and if I needed to add another

It really does what it says.
I use it on every new fill of the hot tub, and it removes all the iron, this really works.

Will be buying again!
AMAZING! I filled my small 12ft pool with well water through a water softener. The second I shocked it, it turned the most disgusting shade of brown. I was distraught. There were tears. This magic bag made my pool CRYSTAL CLEAR in two days. Summer saved!

These are very effective in removing metals from pool water!
I topped my pool up with well water, and it was crystal clear until I shocked it with chlorine. It almost instantly turned yellow, as the chlorine binds with the iron in well water. I did some research on how to resolve the yellow color, and decided to try this. I put it in my pool skimmer, and the water was crystal clear again in just over 24 hours. They are very hard to come by. The seller shipped it quickly, and it arrived within a few business days. I highly recommend this product.

Useless product !!
We bought this product to do exactly what it claims. Unfortunately for us, it didn't work... as a matter of fact, we got more yellow stains when we installed the pouch in our skimmer. It also came apart in the skimmer. For the money we paid for it, it is not only very expensive but totally useless !! Very disappointed. Cannot even send it back as it disintegrated in our skimmer. Not happy at all !!!
