These work great for REDUCING bass. These are commonly called “bass blockers” but they’re bass reducers like ANY product of this type. The bad reviews stem from a lack of understanding from people. These are capacitors which reduce bass at 6 decibels per octave when wired in line to the positive speaker terminal. No other bass blocker will do better. If you want better results you’ll have to build a crossover or use an active crossover in your amplifier or source unit. Those are typically 12 decibels per octave and occasionally 18 or 24.

Does what it says ! Easy to use. I would buy more of these vs full component setups when changing door wiring isn't an option. Frequency cut is still good and much less work tear down.
