One of world's best pepper spray (gel-based), delivered real quick!
Sabre is a US made, quality gel-based Pepper Spray, unlike many of the Chinese ones available in the market. When it comes to security, get one which will not fail in an emergency. It can be carried everyday because of its small size and compactness. I purchased two for the ladies in the family to carry on their keychain/purse. The safety cap prevents accidental discharge while in the purse or pocket. The Company claims nearly 25 sprays (Gel) with a range of upto 12 feet. Since it is gel-based, it outputs a steady jet while most other canisters throw fumes-like spray. The gel keeps you safe from reverse spray due to wind or when in closed spaces. I feel every lady should carry atleast a small keychain torch and a pepper spray, for self-defence while travelling alone. Of course, keeping it handy and ready to use in doubtful situations is more important than just carrying it around. The seller TheGlobalGenie delivered a freshly manufactured product much before the delivery deadline, so happy with the Seller. By the way, Sabre has a product expiry of 4 years, so getting it fresh helps.

The casing pops apart after some time
I always carry this spray and it works well. I have noticed after time the plastic case gets weaker and the end pops off if the Keychain or bottle gets snagged on something. Like the pepper spray and its casing falls from the Keychain attachment

It's something good to have even if you don't think you'll need it and hopefully, you'll never have to use it.
I often ride the city bus and walk a lot during the day and at night, so I started carrying pepper spray after I've had a few sketchy incidents with crazy people entering into my workplace and also encountering crazy people at a bus stop near the college campus. Fortunately, I have never been hurt or anything, but those kinds of situations can be traumatizing, and you never know when a situation can get out of hand. Those are times that would be good to have pepper spray just in case. I really like the flip top design rather than some of those other sliding tab ones that Sabre sells. The sliding ones felt kind of loose and felt like it may accidentally discharge in my pocket, but with this one, I don't feel like I need to worry about it because you have to slide your finger under the spring hinged cap and press down to shoot the gel. The key ring is nice and I always keep it on my lanyard. Although one time, the bottom, which is attached to the key ring got detached from the rest of the body of the pepper spray, but it was easy to just push back in and I didn't even have to use any kind of glue. I gave it a few hard tugs and it stayed together, so I think it should be good. I gave it a few test shots (which I recommend everyone do once they get it to see if it is working properly and so that they get some practice) and I'd say it shot out about 9 to 10 ft in a non-windy conditions. Overall, the design is really nice, and it sprays a good distance, but your aim has to be pretty accurate since it shoots in a stream rather than a mist. It fits nicely in the pocket and I often forget that I have it in my pocket. If you are walking someplace that maybe unsafe or walking at night, I recommend you walk with it in your hand or with your hand in your pocket, with your thumb under the flip top and over the button, so you can be ready to use it if it comes down to it. It's a great thing to have even if you don't think you'll need it. Just make sure that if you get one, replace it after the expiration date. I am a male in my twenties and I never thought I would want or need one, but I realized that it's a good thing to have just in case. Hopefully, I'll never have to use it, outside of testing and practicing.

IT IS REALLY COOL. Okay
IT IS REALLY COOL. Okay, let me tell you my story on how SABRE RED saved my life... I was on my way to work at 5AM. I was walking at the train station when these two huge ass MoFos tryna’ mug me. The one guy said “Give me all your money or imma cut you in two with my mighty two weilding katana!” me, scared, gave em all my money and the other guy said “Give me your iPhone X, your Yeezy, your blings and your Rolex watch or imma blow your head with my mufukn rocket launcher!” I was really scared, y’all! Even tho i was like “TF, man? A rocket laucher?? Reallyyy?? Dayuuum!” I gave him all my stuff... Then i realised... I have the most powerful weapon (besides my beautiful face and the power of Goku) the SABRE RED! So what i did, i slowly took it out of my pocket and the guy with the two weild..... Oh, I forgot.. This part was on Slo-Mo.. So the guy with the two weilding katana saw me take out my SABRE RED and he was like “Aww Nah” (with the voice of Kevin Hart) and i sprayed it with his eyes and he was like “Oooohh Shyyyyyyyyte!! Holy Mother Gumboloni it burns, Fam!!” And i was like “Hell Yeah” and the guy with the Rocket Launcher took out his weapon and i gave him like 3 to 4 minutes to set his weapon up ‘cos that Sh*t be heavy, Man! Then BAM!! I sprayed my SABRE RED, but he dodged it!! And i was like “I see... You’re power is lvl 6969” and he was like “yiiih” (with the voice of quagmire of family guy) and i said “well, unfortunately for you, My friend. My SABRE RED’s power is at lvl 99999999” then BAM!! I sprayed it in his eyes. And he was like “Oh, my lawd my lawd be fogivin’ me! This shyyyte burns!!” And then i took all my stuff, got to work.. I was 5 minutes late, and my boss was giving me a hard time, but when he saw me take out my SABRE RED, He cool... So that’s the story of how SABRE RED saved my life. I hope everyone buys it, Man! But in all honesty, tho.. Never got to use it. I gave mine to my female friend. She needs it more than i do. Lol

Weak stream, but MUCH better than having nothing + 4 yr. shelf life.
After reading several reviews of the various offerings on Amazon, I settled on the Sable pepper gel with flip top. The instructions say to test semi-annually with a quick burst outside, to the ground. My test produced a weak stream that I doubt would travel the 12' distance, claimed. Still, I just went through an unfortunate incident, and had the person gotten close enough to me, I could've deployed this and escaped more easily. I paired this with a SF Magnetic Net Release Keychain Fly Fishing Net Retractor ($8 on Amazon), to attach/detach quickly to purse, or just carry by itself, more comfortably. I like the Sabre's flip cap design, because it's efficient, but also because I don't want the spray to accidentally be set off, in my purse. And though I was careful not to get any of the wet spray on me during testing, the concoction must be pretty powerful, because my lip and tongue tip later became numb! Not anticipating being threatened again soon, but at least I'm better prepared now, and I also like the UV marker that helps the police. Update: Recommended this to others, with two small modifications: 1) Get some tread step grip/shoe grip (rough, black sandpapery stuff, with adhesive on the back. You can find it in most store shoe departments, where they sell the polish and cleaners) and place a piece of it under the nozzle where your forefinger would grip this (short) tube. It will help you grab and orient the spray gel correctly, without covering the nozzle accidentally, or taking your eyes off your attacker; and 2) Wrap duct tape or electrical tape a few times around the bottom seam of the tube, where cap meets the tube. Another reviewer pointed out, if you pull hard enough you can pull the cap off the bottom of the tube (true!). Feels a lot more secure, and I can yank my gel spray off the magnet chain and be ready to go, without looking at my hand. Update 2/4/26: I ordered originally in Oct. '22, and it was time to replace my gel. Reordered, tested replacement to make sure it sprays okay, like the original. As before, I'm using the tread grip and electrical tape, for added security, plus reusing the breakaway magnet part from my earlier SF Magnetic Net Release Keychain Fly Fishing Net Retractor (the magnet's still going strong, working well). One extra suggestion: place a piece of clear tape over the expiration date printed on the tube to protect it, since it'll rub off over time, otherwise. As before, powerful stuff that still ended up on me, burning/numbing a bit, even though I thought I was careful to test spray downwind. The minuscule amount was enough to irritate me for about 20 min.
