PrepWorks Canning Funnel for Easy, Mess-Free Canning and Pouring into Jars

Works great for filling. It would be even better if there were threads on it and you could screw to the top of the jar. It just sits on top so you can still spill or make a mess if you aren’t careful. Even so, spilling and speed of filling have been greatly improved.

Great Canning Funnel. I like that it can just sit on top of the cans to easily add ingredients without a mess. I also use them with Mylar bags sometimes and they have proven to be very functional and versatile. Great buy!

This works well with large mouth and small mouth jars and fits well without tipping. Definitely an improvement over standard funnels.

I try to live a frugal and simple lifestyle, and my kitchen reflects that. I prefer to have the equipment I need, balancing price and function, and generally ignoring aesthetics. Small things like measuring spoons, basic utensils, etc. definitely aren't fancy in my kitchen. Every once in a while though, you find a kitchen gadget that costs a few dollars more, but is worth every penny. This funnel is that kind of product, and I wish I would have purchased it sooner. I use it regularly, usually to pack quart canning jars with varieties of different soup for freezing. It's perfect for transferring everything from hearty chowders to stock into any size glass jar, regular or wide mouth. I was concerned about warping or melting from heat, since I usually funnel hot soups, but I've had no issues with it. The top of the funnel is large enough to accommodate my largest ladle, so there's less dripping. It's much less messy. My counter top stays clean, and the smart design prevents food contamination since the inner rim doesn't contact the countertop. The headspace gauge is accurate, and helps prevent overfilling, so no more mishaps from freezer expansion. Best of all, it's easy to clean, and doesn't have a bunch of hard-to-reach nooks and crannies to scrub. I've washed it many times in the dishwasher, top rack, with no problems. This is a must have item for anyone who cans, freezes or uses glass jars for any kind of food storage.

I am a canner. Thus is what you need to get your food in the jars, without making a big mess. It also as headroom measurements on it. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and easy to store away with the rest of your canning supplies. It is light weight. I wash mine by hand. You always need the correct tools for the job. Excellent for my 2026 Jam Fest (to 80's music). It's made of nice rubber quality similar to the quality of OXO, but not soft per se, just good quality. Don't understand the measurements on the side at all but it does what I need. My only recommendation to the producer is to make the funnel end deeper into the jar so that jam does not go on the inner rim of the jar - that will get you the five stars. Spillage on the inside of the jam jar happened a lot when I was making jam. Nevertheless, I was extremely happy that the funnel sits securely on the top of the jar so that you can easily can with two hands and not require three to support the funnel too. : ) Strongly recommend.

I have not used my Progressive International CKC-300 Regular and Wide Mouth Canning Funnel yet, [read on to see my update after hours of use] so maybe I should not have rated it at this time. I have seen many people use this item and it appears that time is saved by having the headspace measurement on the side of this funnel...no more second guessing and looking several time on each canning jar you fill up. Should save a lot of time, leaning over and checking the headspace. Also, appears to me that this is constructed to keep your jar rim clean, this will also save time, I will still have to clean off the rim of each jar, but maybe I will not be so...OCD about cleaning the rim for a good seal. I will try to comment on my own post if this does not work out the way I think it will. Going to make some homemade rotel today. Sept 17th update on this product: My husband and i have now used this item for four days when we put up 110 pounds of browned ground beef and 70 pounds of grill marked beef sirloin and pork tenderloin. My husband loved it, I thought it was a little bulky and prefer my old stainless one. I might add here, I do not enjoy working with ANY of the plastic ones. I have also had the opportunity to use this product making some jellies, again it just feels a bit bulky to me. I do not think it kept the jar any cleaner after using it to jar the jams and jellies. I have seen several use and love this, including my husband, I do not dislike it, I guess I just prefer what I am used to. The construction of my product was great right out of the box...sturdy and strong and I did not need to use it to see that. My first review was based on, out of the box appearance. Since I have used this product for many hours since my review, maybe it would be important to comment that my unit did not melt with jarring boiling hot jelly and jam. I was also hoping not to continue to checking the headspace and thought this device would save time in that area, but with actual use found there was no improvement over my old stainless one. I have no clue, nor am I responsible for what happens with any product that anyone else receives in the mail. This is only my take on the appearance and how my husband and enjoyed working with the product. Please note that even my husband and I did not share the same opinion as we worked together to get this huge amount of meat pressure canned. Some days, ya just got'a get up and laugh.

Works great, good quality too. Worth the money.

Canning funnel I haven't tried it yet but it looks good for the value I would recommend it I've had a good look at that you can measure how far to put the water up to in your jar

This is without a doubt one of the most useful gadgets I have purchased. It fits perfectly and makes filling either the wide mouth or regular mouth mason jars a simple task. Cleans up easily by hand or top-rack dishwasher. If you use mason jars, you need this in your life.
