Bungalow Style: Creating Classic Interiors in Your Arts and Crafts Home

This book was invaluable for me in helping to choose decor and colors for my craftsman home. It is full of great pictures of the craftsman style of interior architecture and design, and was a treasure trove of pictures. For a style that isn't the most modern, and can be hard to find good examples online of how to properly and authentically style a craftsman home, this book is tops!

This is the best collection of interior design of Arts & Crafts homes that I have had the opportunity to read in a long time! The photographs are spectacular along with an indepth history of the this period of home style! We live in a Prairie School home built in 1912 and it helped us choose the correct paint colors for this period in history! It also gave us a deeper knowledge of the other architectural aspects of our home!

Nice quality book with pretty pictures. Didn't find it all that inspiring for its intended use in designing a new house, but great ideas if you were remodeling a bungalow - so I sent it back No problems at all with returning though I did have to pay shipping because it wasn't a problem with the product. Good for reference colors on interior of our Craftsman home.

I bought this book because I wanted to learn the basics of decorating an interior in Craftsman style. Keeping in mind this is not a huge book. it covers both interiors and exteriors in the way that a course on the subject would and this was much appreciated. The subject of the pictures are well chosen and the photo quality and printing in the book are very good.

Very useful, informative book full of decorating ideas, history, descriptions, and photos. Really helpful as I approach decorating decisions in our 100 year Craftsman bungalow.

My wife and I are building our dream house which has a strong arts and crafts/bungalow style to it. this book with its exceptional photography, has allowed us to share ideas with our contractors so that they could make our ideas a reality. this is a must have for your library and one we'll refer to again and again.

Well-designed and researched compendium of infomration on this disappearing style of home. The layout and photos supported the detailed information provided by the author in an easily readable and flowing manner. Great volume for those that have an affinity for vintage homes, whether purchasing, residing in and comtemplating the construction of one. This book complements the authors previous, and equally informative, volume Colonials and Capes. A must have on your bookshelf!

この本は、アメリカで２０世紀初頭に建てられた家のリノベーションのための参考モデル紹介を目的にしてるようです。 所謂バンガローがウッドデッキ付き平屋別荘であるのに対して、この本に扱われる居宅は金のかかったとてもハイセンスで色褪せない職人仕事の様に見えます。そう大使館官邸みたいに。 「の様に見える」というのは、アメリカの通販文化を知ってしまってるので、それぞれのパーツが存外通販の大量生産品かも？と思っちゃったりするからですが、いやぁー贅沢だわ。溜息が出ます。 自分は数えてませんが、３００枚以上の図や写真、意匠、アイデアが入ってるそうです。

An American book on Arts and Crafts- American style. Inspiring images, page after page detailing everything from floors to windows, furnishings, etc. A very nice book to study and get that authentic American Arts and Crafts look.
