Do you have to be on the same breaker or just electrical panel and does it lose bandwidth?

I had no problem running to a detached garage, which has it's own sub-panel. I got around 60 Mbps throughput from 2 and 6 Ghz and the "Gigabit" port, same on either phase in the subpanel. That's down from around 90 Mbps when the remote was inside the house near the base unit. It definitely did not like running with the remote plugged in to a GFI outlet -- it would not stay connected. I had to install a non-GFI outlet for it.

Does this block the second plug-in on a standard wall outlet?

With this product plugged into the bottom outlet, a standard three-prong plug doesn't quite fit properly in the top outlet. It goes in far enough to work, but it's jammed against the top of the AV1000 unit. A two prong plug should work fine.

How long are the included ethernet cables?

The TL-PA7017 Kit comes with two 6.5 ft. (2m) Ethernet cables.
