My husband and I are at a hotel and we’ll be here 3 weeks. After the first day, I really missed my usual brand of coffee so I purchased the coffee and the pod kit from Amazon to see if it would work with the single serve coffee maker in our room. It worked PERFECTLY! Everything sealed very nicely using the iron. I used a wine glass from our little kitchenette because that’s all I had that was close to the diameter of the pod, and it worked great! No leaks whatsoever, even though I let the pod steep in the hot water for a couple minutes to make a little stronger brew. The pod fits in the little single serve tray very nice. I have to say I don’t think it makes very strong coffee but letting the pod steep a little longer in the hot water solved that issue for me. Highly recommend!

I hunted for coffee pods online to use in a single serve hotel coffee maker I bought off ebay after enjoying the one I used in my hotel room (it is a Cuisinart model W1CM5S). I tried the Senseo Extra Bold pods and they fit in the brew basket, but the coffee was weak to me and the pods are small-ish. I found these replacement filters instead and so glad I did! I like that I can fill them to the top with my coffee of choice and use my iron (I tried the iron on medium setting but use the highest setting just in case for a good seal) WITHOUT STEAM lol or you'll have soggy pods. I tried putting the filter into a Mason jar lid to hold but my filter steady to iron seal but my lids were either too small or too large. So I tried a metal 1/3 measuring cup and it was just what I needed (I tried a plastic 1/3 measuring cup too and the iron didn't melt the cup but I prefer the metal one just in case). The filters do not get hot at all during the iron sealing and it only takes about 4 or 5 passes with the iron for it to completely seal the pods. To brew, the finished pods must be placed completely down inside the basket without the filter rim hanging over or the water will be blocked and come over the sides instead of the basket. So down into the basket, it brews (my coffee maker is for one 8 ounce cup at a time), dump your used pod, and you're done! Oh and I was going to try out one of those fancy pod makers but only found 1 on ebay for like $75 then I saw the instructions on the filter box said to just use an iron so that was faster - and free! Perfect pods every time with my own coffees. Perfect!

Great filters, great price. I use them in an aluminum pod holder that I bought on ebay for $10. You place the filter in the aluminum ring-like holder, fill the filter with ground coffee (2-2.5 teaspoons which makes an 8 ounce cup of coffee in my brewer) and seal the filter top using a household iron (my wife gave me her old iron). Takes about 2-3 seconds to seal and it seals every time, 100% of the time, perfect pods. I like my coffee fresh so I grind my own coffee and make enough pods for a few days at a time, only takes a few minutes. Makes a great cup of coffee tailored to my likes. I use a bodium burr grinder with appropriate coffee and grind that I like. I have bought these filters and another brand and both work equally well but these cost less than the others.

Given the lack of other similar products, I'm happy to use these. They're well made and reasonably priced. The trick to using these with the Cuisinart Duo is to close the paper top with three small paper clips. Otherwise the coffee grounds spill out. I've heard of people sealing them with an iron, but I never had success with that.

These are not for use in pressurized pod coffeemakers. They should work perfectly in regular pod coffeemakers. I have a pressurized SunCafe unit that I love but went nuts trying to get these to work using the Perfect Pod Maker Deluxe Coffee and Tea Pod Maker. I use Melitta's pods and they work perfectly with little cost. And their coffee is the best.

First, a caveat. I happen to own one of the Perfect Pod flat pod makers that the filters fit perfectly into for filling and sealing. I have had no problems at all, so far, in the first box I purchased, with making, sealing, and using these filters. Lacking this item, which is no longer made, these pods CAN still be used, albeit with a little more trouble. The easiest way, without the pod making machine, is to find a small glass, measuring cup (no spout! need a flat rim), or bowl, with a thick enough rim to take a little pressure, into which the filter will fit with the edges extending over the rim. The cup or other holder needs to be able to take the heat of an iron, so not plastic! Spoon in the desired amount of coffee, then fold the top over and use a hot iron, from the laundry room, to seal the pod. Repeat until you have as many pods as you want. But if you have the type of coffee maker that the filter fits snugly into, and then presses down to hold it firmly in place all along the top, you might try not sealing them at all! You may be able to place the filter into the holder, spoon in the coffee, fold the top over and then just close the coffee maker to make the coffee. With mine, I can remove the holder easily to dispose of the pod, but if you don't have that sort, and have to reach in to get the used pod, you may find this unacceptable as it would be easy to spill the used grounds during removal. And some of the flat coffee pod makers may not hold it in well enough to keep the lid in place without sealing prior to use. With those caveats (or coffeeats?) I highly recommend these filters.

September 03, 2020: I was running low and renewed my supply at Amazon today. Given that I'm seeing next to NO hits for these pods at Amazon and that they're being supplied by a third party provide, I hope these will continue to be available going forward. I bought 1200 (6 ea. 200 packs) today, and that should buy me a cushion. But I hope I'm not going to have to replace my Hamilton Beach Pod brewer... At least the K-cups are finally available in paper. I still love these pods! ====================================================== Original review: Update Work great and cost substantially less than the other brands. What more is there to say? Well okay, how about answering some of the critics... 1) I actually went through the trouble of counting the number of filters in my 200 count box. There are in fact 200 filters in the box. Would I be upset if the count were off by one or two either way? I don't think so. But it doesn't seem to be an issue. 2) They seal as well as the Easy Pack filters, which I purchased previously. I use the pod sealing machine (Hamilton Beach product) and have never had a problem getting a good seal. I would have kept buying the Easy Pack filters had their cost not suddenly gone through the roof. Now that I discovered these replacement filters at well under half the price of the Easy Pods and found them to be every bit as good, I'm sold on this brand. Can't go wrong with these. Enjoy!

Purchased these for a cruise. If you like coffee flavored water, these are for you! I tried 2 TBS Pike Place Starbucks, weak. 2.5 TBS med roast specialty coffee, weak. Tried 2 pads with 2 tbs in each - doubled up in the brew basket, still weak! It is was the darkest color of the brew trials, but it just tastes like coffee flavored water! I'm so disappointed! I read the great reviews, followed all the tips & tricks, but the result was very disappointing. What do they do well? Seal! I had zero grounds in my coffee. I was careful to only seal the edges using a hot iron & pad set on a ⅓ measure cup. Worked perfectly. Incredibly easy. If only it would do what I needed it to. Allow a good cup of coffee to be made from it.

Please pay attention to the descriptions. These are perfect for Senseo type and flat Pod type coffee makers only as shown in their product descriptions. They are NOT for Keurig style or Nespresso systems. Some seal them with an iron which does work but they are really designed to be used with a dedicated pod sealer. I have one and can easily make a dozen pods in less than 5 minutes. The popularity of Keurig has made this type of coffee pods hard to find. I was delighted to find these filters. Price is well worth it given the cost and rarity of pods for these types of machines.

I usually buy my coffee pods from a place called Muldoon's but these are great when I want to make my own. I can stuff about 12 grams of coffee in these which makes a nice strong cup. How do I seal them? I take a paper pod and place it in a stainless steel 1/3 cup measuring cup/spoon. Then I put in the coffee grounds, close the flap and place a hot iron on top. Once that is done, I trim excess edges from the pod (or else my machine leaks). The key is using the heat proof measuring cup. It helps make a nice strong seal.
