I finally found supplement my husband will take. He hates taking any omega/oil supplements because they either smell or taste fishy to him, so I've been on the hunt for something he won't complain about. This is shockingly it. When you open the bag you can smell a slight fishy odor, but having one or two pills in your hand oddly smells kind of like chocolate to us. It's weird, but it's not unpleasant. The capsule is very thick and doesn't cause any upset stomach or burping. It passes my husband's sensitive nose and stomach so this is the brand we will stick with.

They stink like a fish market upon opening the bag, BUT there is ABSOULTLY NO TASTE swallowed w/water and best of all ,NO AFTERTASTE. This is coming from someone who always made a point of buying "burpless" Fish Omega 3 oil, and still would occasionally get that fishy burp *yuck NOW what I'm about to tell you, take w/ a grain a salt. This product just about cleared up my DRY EYE issue. The 1st week I started taking these, holy crap, what relief! Now after contined 2weeks of use, I havent even touched my *tears eye drops. My eyes are more lubricated even after many hours reading on the computer/phone!! No more leaky eye and waking up, I kid you not....my eyes never felt so refreshed in the freaking MORNING. WHAT? No icky sandman crusties! My eyes come in to focus immediately and they do not feel like I am fighting to open them from the dryness, that's painful!! IYKYK THIS WAS A BONUS SIDE EFFECT. I did not inatally start taking theses for that purpuse, but WOW, what a great bonus. DYOR. Time willl tell how effective these are for my overall health, but I'm sure feeling hopeful about this! Even if the only issue at hand was the DRY EYE thing.... these are a winner! If it smells like fish, it's legit! If it smells like cologne, leave it alone! haha ;) *started with two a day, to see about taste. After a few days advanced to 4 pills a day- 2pills 2x a day! GREAT!

My doctor wants me to take 2,000 mg of krill oil daily. I tried a different brand with one 2,000 mg capsule and gave it up after a few weeks due to it causing major indigestion and the dreaded "fish burps". After researching reviews of other krill oil products I decided to give this brand a try and happy to report I've been using this product for about 2 weeks, taking one 1,000mg twice a day, and have absolutely NO unpleasant side effects. Yes, there's a slight fishy odor when opening the package but the capsule is tasteless. Would recommend trying this if you have an intolerance to other krill oil products

UPDATE: I've ordered this several times. I appreciated the quality and that fact that the seller was economizing by using a bag instead of a bottle, and passing the savings along. Or at least that used to be the case. I was going to order it again this morning but noticed that the price had shot up more than 30 percent. I still think it's a good product, but calculating the value against similar products from other sellers it no longer has an advantage ––––––––––––––––––––––––––– ORIGINAL REVIEW: Krill oil has many benefits for the heart and for the brain. The phospholipids in it make it a good source of Omega 3s. I've been taking it for years, and have bought it from several companies. I bought this brand of krill oil for the first time a few weeks ago. I was attracted by the price, and most reviewers had good things to say about it. The first bag the company sent me had a problem, and had a "rotten seafood" smell. This may be because some capsules had gotten squished and leaked, then spoiled, in the bottom of the bag. So I initially posted a negative review. The company responded by contacting me and offering to send a replacement package. The replacement bag is fine. I chew up the capsules and can tell that the oil in them is very fresh; there's no "rotten seafood" taste or smell. Based on the sum total of my experiences, I would recommend this product.

I had taken 1200mg of fish oil for years without seeing it do anything for me, including no changes in my cholesterol. I kept taking it because it was recommended to do so. I decided to give krill oil a try and began to see health benefits quickly as well as lowering of my cholesterol. I have more energy, less pain (joints and overall pain) and improvements in my skin. I have a high gag reflex and the size of krill capsules is not a problem for me, which is also an added benefit over the fish oil capsules I had been taking. I had also avoided krill capsules due to the increased cost compared to fish oil, but Micro Ingredients price is much less than most other brands. Their bulk packaging as well as using a bag instead of a bottle are probably a big reason why they can offer krill oil at such a good price. I hope they keep doing so! There are a couple of other supplements that I take that I wish Micro Ingredients would offer in capsule form instead of a power since I have found their products to be made with high quality ingredients.

Switched to this krill oil. I need 1000mg. This helps keep my cholesterol in good range. Krill oil is naturally low in mercury. Good for overall health, including mental health. I believe krill oil is a superfood. Does so much and helps with a lot of functions in the body

I don't like taking the humongous fish oil pills and these are the perfect size plus they have astaxanthin for eye health. Won't know if it helped elevated lipids till next blood draw

I liked the packaging as it is environmentally friendly. Also price is right. Pills look OK. However, it smells very fishy out of the packaging compared to other quality brands. Good things is that it has no fishy aftertaste. Overall, reasonable value for money.

Astaxanthin dosage is very low to make any result.

Not halal as it contains gelatine, sadly
