Is this a comfortable camping pad for side sleepers?

I have used mine several times. I use it for both tent camping and putting it in the back of my SUV. I am a side-sleeper...AND...a fat dude. I have had no problems sleeping on my side with this sleeping pad. With exception of the thicker side that acts like a pillow because it can feel awkward on your side bending upwards (this mainly happens when using it in my SUV - not so much in the tent). But I just turn it around and put the thicker end at my feet which I have come to oddly like...not sure why but might talk to a professional about it.

Is this pad quiet? Our inflatables keep ourselves and those around us awake with every turn during the night.

I have used this air mattress several times. I love it...but it is not quiet. But I am not that bothered by the noise - I live next to train tracks. Also, I have found that you can wrap it in some kind of sheet and it does quiet down. My mom is old and loves to sew so I bought a queen size t-shirt material (cause its pretty cozy) sheet from Walmart and had her sew it in half longways and at one of the ends and I slip that on it and problems solved.

Anyone buy it as air mattress?

I think it would be a good option for emergencies as an air mattress or an option for kids having friends over or something like that. Definitely is a camping option but as an adult I wouldn't use it if I had a larger air mattress option being indoors.
