Walnut Hollow 1826 Basswood Rectangle Plaque, 6 x 8 x 0.75 for Woodburning, Painting or Chip Carving

Used this "routed edge" small board to center a TV mount on a small wall between a wall and a window. I wanted to "center" the TV but the mounting stud was off center by about 2.5". So, I mounted this piece of wood to the stud, and then mounted the TV mount to this wood, allowing me to center the TV on the wall. The added benefit is that the heavy metal mount won't gouge into the sheetrock and when removed, I just have to fill a few small screw holes. The item came well sanded and professional looking. I chose not to stain or finish the wood because it won't show behind the TV.

So glad I found these. Great value. Easy to find a thousand uses for

Wood seems good quality, but be cautious if size matters. Title says 6x8 inches. Details say 0.75 x 6.54 x 8.54 inches. I needed this as a backing for a 6x6 sign. Unfortunately it is 6x8 *including the beveled edge*, not 6.54x8.54. The usable surface is 5.5x7.5 inches.

used these to do photo transfers, they worked well but a little small for that project. also the dimensions are a little misleading, the dimensions are the total board as opposed to the actual work surface.

This is nice wood. I think it came from a tree. The trees name was Bob, we sat for hours sharing secrets of the centuries in which he lived in the Russian forests and saw the coming and goings of numerous rulers and peoples through the ages. It saddened me when I heard his magnificent life came to and end to be turned into lumber but I will honor his legacy by using this plaque as a noble and beautiful reminder.

Used it for some pyrography art and the wood was easy to work with and had a nice color when burnt :)

Good price, fast shipping, works as advertised

What you see is what you get. I wanted this to place a small cake for and it is perfect.
