Legend of Korra: The Complete Series

Complete series! My daughters loved these. We watched them in the car. Easy to stop and pick up anywhere. Good graphics/ artistry. Great fun for all ages

Product was good, no damage or anything. I loved watching this show on Blu-ray. No ads, just episode after episode of a good show. Seriously overhated.

Awesome quality

As someone that came late to the show (pretty late indeed, considering its been over a couple years), this set is a great deal. All episodes, compact package. The extras are kind of minimal as far as I can tell, but to be fair I haven't looked on all the discs yet so there may be more that I'm missing. There's episode breakdowns by directors/producers, storyboarding etc. It does come with a compact art book, containing several pages of illustration per season and insights on design by the shows producers. Nice little extra. The most important part is the show itself, though. Avatar: TLA was a great series. For me, the Legend of Korra absolutely matches up (and sometimes surpasses) it in every way. The visuals are top notch; traditional hand drawn animation makes all the difference here. Too often these days animated shows will go for a more minimalist animation style or even worse, CGI. There are some CGI elements here, but very few (or some are blended so well I didn't notice). They certainly don't stand out in a negative way. To sum it up, if you've never seen the show and are interested you should buy this set. I'd be very surprised if you didn't fall in love with the show for all these reasons: 1. Characters you care about 2. Great villians (even ones you might sympathize with) 3. Awesome action scenes 4. Genuinely hilarious (more often than you'd expect) 5. Voice talent off the charts (JK Simmons steals all the scenes he's in) 6. Hits all the emotional notes and then some. Buy it.

Great product

This DVD is amazing and such a cool series, but that is from what I recall back in 2012 since Disc Two of my DVD from Book One had a small crack in it that prevented me from viewing the full finale of Book One 😪 Luckily Amazon Customer Support issued me a refund, but i was told the Seller cancelled my original replacement order which was odd, but other than that it's a good price for a nice series (The other DVDs were in great condition)

The world has industrialized quite a bit given the era of relative peace brought by the end of the 100 year war. Aang and Korra have opposite personalities, but it was fantastic seeing Korra's growth in this modern world. She starts off as a naive, hot-headed teen that just really wants to fulfill her duty as the avatar and she matures beautifully by the end. TLOK has a more mature tone than ATLA and I especially loved the focus on mental health later in the series. I found the villains more interesting as they were more complex this time around. Also, I personally thought the standard for fight scenes, camera work, soundtrack/atmosphere have improved. It may not have one overarching plotline and as many satisfying character arcs as ATLA did (since korra was initially going to be a miniseries and the creators didn't know how many books they would get to make), but TLOK has different strengths and I definitely enjoyed it. The stretch from Book 3 into early Book 4 might actually be my favorite in the entire franchise. Pricewise, getting all 4 seasons for $30 is great and all of my disks worked just fine! I display this one on my shelf since I love the covert art :)

La série elle même mériterait 5 étoiles mais la boîte est arrivée abîmée avec des tâches et des rayures ce que je trouve dommage car j’aime garder les boites propres et en bon état mais le colis est arrivé dans les temps.

Disc work perfectly and the show is great, just when buying dvds from international retailers or online in general be aware the dvd case are more prone to break, I am very grateful mine were very minimal but I do suggest buying empty DVD cases for backups incase of damage to the case
