Let me begin this by being very clear and honest with you, I I’m not associated with elizo or paid to make reviews. I feel it is my duty to leave reviews based solely on my interpretation of what I specifically have chosen and what I receive in return. That being said to anyone who is a lover of genuine leather, who knows the smell, who knows the feel and the texture this product is for you. I wish I could bottle up the smell and put it into my car. It came EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED AND LOOKS EVEN BETTER THAN IT DOES IN THE PHOTOS THAT THEY’RE USING. I have a very specific color designed to my office and required something that matches both my leather chair and the wood furnishing that surrounds the desk and floor. These people DM to me and helped me pick the exact match within their inventory to work within my color palette. After I received the first one I had to get another. I don’t know about you, but there is a single seller out there no matter what the product is or what you pay for that will help you to that level. It spreads over my desk perfectly and compliments what I want to a degree that you’d expect to pay $200 - $300 for this on Restoration Hardware. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship is unparalleled. I don’t wanna sound too much like a fanboy, but I would highly recommend. Sure it may protect your desk if you have some high-quality wood, but in my case, it is the single item that makes my desk look good. Huge thank you to the craftsmanship and care that has gone into making such a thing it takes me back to the old days of the very first leather jacket that I ever wore and what it felt like putting it on. I now feel like that every time I sit down to work.

The leather feels rich and sturdy, with just the right amount of softness under my hands. The thickness gives it a really solid feel on the desk and it stays perfectly flat. I love the natural sheen too. It has this clean, professional look that makes my setup feel more polished. After using it daily for a while, I can say it has held up beautifully. No curling edges, no sliding, and the surface still looks great. Between the quality of the leather and the way the company stood behind their product, I could not be happier with the purchase.

Leather is real but a little thin, so it has stress cracks from being rolled up. Other than that, its great and looks and feels good

Leather came in, and it's very high quality and you can tell it is handmade. I would say this though: the seams + edges are sharp, I'd recommend the manufacturer to sand or round the edges as that is where my wrist rests. I am testing out using a leather conditioner on the mat to see if it helps soften the seams and edges. This mat also comes with a little leather coaster, really cute! And It also comes with a leather bowl thing. Not sure how I feel about it. Kind of useless to be honest. But whatever, it's cute. I think it would probably better serve you guys not to ship it with this product and lower the cost of the mat as a whole. edit: after 1 overnight soak of hand applying Obenauf's Heavy Duty LP, the leather has become soft and supple along the entirety - but most importantly, the trouble areas: the edges. Prior to this, the edges AND the seams were too sharp for my wrist. Now it's completely unnoticeable. I applied this to the coaster for the fun of it, and found the same benefit. It's incredibly supple.

I must say, this is really high quality thick leather and it looks beautiful on my executive desk. I love the leather smell too! This has got to be the best desk mat I have ever bought. Well worth it.
