Large First Joy Woodworking Project Plan

I thought this came out great. Product is just a pattern. You would need a sheet of plywood, paint, metal for stakes, screws, and a jigsaw. Directions were easy to follow. Hardest part was tracing it on the plywood, but carbon paper works well for that. You can use 1/2 inch or 3/4 plywood, but I have used both for lawn cutouts and the 3/4 seems to be holding up better. I screwed in some 90 degree angle aluminum bars from the home improvement store to the back to act as stakes, and used stainless steel screws to attach those and the star and the manger scene. It was pretty easy cutout with a jigsaw, made for a nice Saturday project with the kids.

I ordered this late in the holiday so did not make yet. BUT I am excited to make in for Christmas 2021. The template is of good quality paper and I will cut out to tranfer the pattern to the wood.

The product was exactly as presented. It was easy to make and a nice morning project. The only recommendations I would make is the following.On the pattern It would be helpful if Mary and Joseph was separate . I had bought it for a first time project for someone with no experience in this and it was difficult explaining the way it was done.

Excellent pattern for our plywood sheet. Easy to cut out the Joy Woodcraft pattern.

Great template, great directions, great product. Look forward to buying more templates for future projects.

Product was what we were looking for to decorate our yard this Christmas

The plans are perfect! I used thin paper over the top to trace out the design then cut out the thin paper to trace onto my plywood. Everything worked and looks great!

Easy to follow
