I purchased this for an office decoration. Our cubes have a small slot that runs along the perimeter that was just the right size to stuff this rope-type LED into the crevice to create a cool TRON-like effect. The one I received was 2 meters long. The included instructions show you how to cut the cable if it winds up being too long, so cutting it to size is also an option.Why I selected this one was based upon the design - unlike most of the other ones, this one is powered by a standard AC power adapter and not via a USB cable. My work forbids all USB devices - so this worked out great, and the included power switch/brightness control comes in handy because these are very bright at full power. I chose the white color - it's a rather harsh cool white, so I run it at about 50% brightness.The LEDs don't blink or change colors. The lighting is quite uniform along the length of the rope, so you see a steady unbroken neon-type glow. It's very rubbery and bendy, so you can shape it however you like. After several months of use, I do not see any dimming. You should be careful how you bend the cable - it bends in one direction easily (the obvious lighted side out) but if you bend it in another direction (such as going around a corner or worse, an inside corner), you can damage the cable. So keeping your design flat will give the best results.

Supposedly, these are supposed to go under a Honda Civic with a fartcan muffler.I own a 40 year old Lincoln.I put these around my bedframe. Works really well. Looks great.Your mom thinks they're cool.

If you are looking for a subtle soft lighting, this isn't it. These are very very bright. I had to cover the strip wirh white gaffer tape to dim it down a bit and still feel like it's too bright. The strip works well though, and is easy to trim to the length you need. The adhesive tape on the back was essentially useless and I ended up having to glue the strip down to keep it in place. If these were supposed to come with a remote, I didn't get one with mine.

This is crap. Worked for a couple weeks then it started blinking. The good reviews are probably from people who only used it for a short time. Eventually this thing starts blinking. Crappy design.

The media could not be loaded. I had my step father that used to do lighting for concerts check out all of the details regarding the light & he said it seemed safe. I purchased to create a pop art feel around framed photos. I’ve had it for months now & can honestly say that it holds up & I have had no concerns. It fills up my whole wall & I get so many compliments on it. Just ensure that you have the wire to be plugged in close to an outlet unless you have a safe extension cord.

I’ve bought a few of these for my apartment and they look great. However after a few months I started having issue with the light staying on and would have to manipulate the cord in odd ways for it to stay on. I’ve purchased multiple of these and they all have the same issue.
