has worked whenever needed, fits in the carry case and can be beatly stored in your boot for whenever it may be needed. Very sturdy, thick cables and decent clips on either end. Worth it and cheap enough just to keep in case of an emergency.

The charging leads are heavier than thought, however they do the job well and would recommend.

First the elephant in the room. These cables are CCA - copper clad aluminium, like nearly all booster cables you will see. The conductor wires are aluminium with a super thin plating of copper. This copper DOES NOT improve conductivity significantly. It mainly reduces corrosion of the aluminium. Copper has half the resistance (by cross-sectional area) of aluminium. But aluminium is under half the price of copper. So for a given price you can make a superior jump lead from CCA / aluminium than from copper. It just has to be thicker. Luckily, aluminium is lighter than copper too! These leads have a claimed 50 squared mm of CCA / aluminium. They will conduct electricity better than, say, 16 squared mm of copper cable. Meaning they will have a smaller voltage drop and deliver more current. They will do their job better and be more likely to start the vehicle. I wanted to buy thick copper leads so badly, but just couldn't find what I wanted on Amazon. Apparently enthusiasts build their own using copper welding cable. Too much hassle for me, and still not cheap. Anyway, some review notes... (+) These cables are thick and heavy. Out of necessity. And fairly flexible. (-) These cables are thick and heavy. Oh I said that already. But they won't be going in the glove compartment or similar cubbyhole. (+) The red and black cables are completely separate making routing and choice of contact points easier. But there is one velcro wrap permanently attached to the red lead which you could use to join them together. (+) The leads are properly crimped to the clips. One crimp for the metal conductor wires, and another crimp around the sheath. The wires are not soldered on though. (+) The clips have a copper(y) strip connecting both sides together so both sides of the jaw can deliver current. (+) There are 3 sets of instructions: on a printed sheet of paper; on the back of the bag; and on a plastic tag attached to the red lead. Excellent. The instructions are pretty good with useful safety tips, but with minor inconsistencies, e.g. when to start the engine of the healthy vehicle. (?) The crocodile clip insulators are soft and reasonably thin. I prefer this to absurdly thick, solid plastic insulation, or to having exposed metal. It's a good compromise, but people's needs differ. I can't see any serious negatives. The bag and the free gloves are cheap but will function for some time. The real question is, will the leads work, and without burning out, and I'm unlikely to test them to their limits any time soon. I over-specced in buying these. So five stars for now.

Bought these as needed heavier duty version to that which I already had. I was experiencing regular problems with my car so ordered these so that I was "covered". I got rid of car before I even got to try this set so cant give a very substantial review.... What I can say is that they are definitely heavy duty materials and construction. The longer length will also be a bonus when connecting up to the donor vehicle. A good buy which I hope not to have need of .....!

Bought after issues with a flat battery - not used as such. Unpacked and inspected the goods, looks like a good quality product that will serve its purpose well.
