Exactly what I needed for my art. Thank you

The granules arrived tightly vacuumed-packed. No complaints. I can't speak to their elemental purity. However, they are definitely not lab-grade. I'm not downgrading my rating as these granules are not advertised as being suitable for laboratory use. Depending on your application, you may need to very thoroughly solvent wash the granules in an ultrasonic bath to drive off the contaminants...those mostly being oil.

This is not an ideal material for metal casting. The high surface area of the pieces leads to lots of oxidation and loss of material to slag. My main reason for writing this however was cleanliness of the metal itself. The grains were probably sourced from recycled aluminum bullet shell casings. When touched, my hands got gunpowder residue on them, and when I melted some in my furnace, the smell of gunpowder was overwhelming. Definitely clean these throughly before using them for any chemical applications.

As some others have stated (I looked at reviews after my experience), this is not anything close to pure aluminum. Melting temp doesn’t lie, and I had it at 1250° C for quite a while and it did not melt. Disappointing.

1330 degree melt temp...? Yeahhhh I don't know what's in this aluminum but it's not all aluminum. It casts well enough to use.
