Actually water resistant! It is perfect for us. Just get a little extra warm because of the material it's not as breathable as a normal mattress cover but that's to be expected! Very durable and good quality

arrived the next day. I washed it and dried it and its absolutely beautiful. I have not put it on my mattress yet because I purchased a new on and it will be arriving on Wednesday. I cannot wait. I will send a follow up on the next day after I sleep on it. But what I have seen so far, it is so worth the money. The place where I purchased my mattress, wanted $140.00 for this item, the sales person was nice enough to tell me to go on Amazon and he gave me the type to purchase. I liked this on more because it is 40% Bamboo and the one he told me to purchase was only 30% Bamboo. I got this with a coupon from Amazon, it was $39.99 but I got it for $31.99 . So I was very very happy saving all that money. $108.01. Wow cannot wait, part 2 coming up. Part 2 this cover is Beautiful . I actually washed it and hung it outside but I had to bring it in to dry in the dryer because it's kind of heavy when you wash it but it came out of the dryer on medium heat beautiful absolutely beautiful. I cannot wait to sleep on it tonight my new mattress it is covering it right now I just put it on you will be very very pleased with it it fits beautifully beautifully recommend this highly 👍

Exactly what I needed. I’ve always used these as a way to protect my mattresses from sweat and the occasional coffee spill (I don’t have kids so I can’t attest to any “accident” protection). The material is thin but durable, I like the cotton topping as pure plastic will trap heat and make awful squeaking noises. The cover has very deep pockets (perfect for me) and mesh sides which is great for ventilation of the mattress itself. I wash mine every three months by hand, but I have washed it in the machine before with no issues (I just find it goes quicker in the sink). I’ve had mine for over a year now and it’s still perfect, absolutely no issues.

Was worried that with this product, being waterproof, would create noise on movement, but having perused previous reviews which said there was no noise I can concur. Amazingly quiet & very happy.
