Works well, the 70cfm is far more noisy than the 50. But it does work well.

Ordered 3, replaced all 3 in MINUTES!. Probably 20 minutes total for all 3! They do the job, they fit very well. I've had only 1 functioning fan of the the 4 in my house for over a decade! Never knew it was this easy to swap them out! Super happy with these. Time will tell if they last. But so far so good! Will probably buy a 4th and swap out the last one, just as preventative maintenance

I have a Broan 679 fan/light combo with a manufacture date in 2011. The fan went out suddenly one evening. After a bit of searching, I figured out how to find the correct replacement fan. Just the first 3 numbers in the model number are used, and I also measured the size and position of the bolt holes based on the measurements given, just to be sure. Install was very easy. The bracket/plate that the fan is bolted to comes out of the fixture, so you don't have to remove the entire assembly from the ceiling. Use a flat head screwdriver or a stout putty knife to pry the clips out. Old fan was held in by two nuts and were easy removed. The hardest part was cleaning out all the dust from the fixture. I got the vacuum and a stiff bristle nylon brush and really cleaned it up. All of the dust is probably why the old motor failed in the first place. Some say the motor is louder than the original. I think it's about the same volume...it could be a bit quieter. Cleaning the fixture might have something to do with that. We'll see about longevity. I'm guessing it won't last 14 years, but we'll see.

Instead of replacing the entire assembly, I replaced just the fan motor. Works flawlessly and is pretty quiet.

These motors are an excellent replacement for my 85N2 bathroom exhaust fans. They are easy to install. I'm 74 and I did it myself. Quieter than my original ones.

Unit arrived very quickly and intact. This was purchased to upgrade a 50CFM bathroom fan. After going through the number of different units, I settled on this one. Replacement was easy-peasey (2 nuts, <10 mins to do) once the fan was down off the ceiling. The clearances were well within tolerance, so no problems there. As for functionality, the unit works quite well. I was not able to determine an overall difference in operational volume from old unit to new. They seemed to be about the same. There was a slight difference in steam removal, going from 50 to 70CFM which I thought was a little disappointing , but once the shower was turned off, the mirror DID clear quicker IMHO. All things considered, I think this was a worthwhile swap-out. I would recommend this unit.

So the box was in bad shape and wasn't really closed properly but the fan itself works great looks.to built well, and is actually quieter then my old fan which is great but the old fan w a metal fan sooooo...but anyways shipping was quick and fan works out of a damaged box so overall a good deal

This motor and blade replaces Broan H-500, F-550, F-560, F-575. The blade is bigger but that means more CFMs Very happy with the product .
